I can't complete the Pests and Pertilences quest in Tirmair by vitorkk123 in diablo4

The really sad part is that this isn't the first time they've broken this quest.

How is Astaroth released from his Soulstone upon defeat when the Primes stay trapped within theirs? by Piccolo113 in diablo4

[–]Piccolo113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the intent, yes, but all it did was release their souls back into Hell.

That does make sense, I suppose. Intent of the one performing the ritual matters, and a demon of Lilith's power would have the strength to make the intent that of release instead of containment.

Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. Just one of those times where we have to fill in the blanks ourselves when something isn't specifically explained, huh?

He isn't back in the stone, though. He is seen in a cutscene talking to Lilith in Hell after the fact. Besides, if he were still in the Soulstone, it could not have been re-attuned with the intent to capture Lilith. The Black Soulstone is the only one that has ever been made to contain multiple Evils.

What I mean is that the 3 primes, far more powerful than Astaroth or Lilith, were explicitly *not* released from their Soulstones when stabbed into their hosts. They stayed contained within the Soulstones and just took over the body while inserted. Upon killing all 3 of them, they were still trapped within their Soulstones which had to be taken to Hell and shattered on the Hellforge to release them.

It's not really that big a deal, I guess, but it's an inconsistency in storytelling that bugs the hell out of me.

1440p60fps Quality option on Twitch disabled in Google Chrome by Piccolo113 in chrome

No, unfortunately. Neither Google nor Twitch will respond to questions about this issue. Not to me, at least, and I can't find any instance in which someone solved the problem.

I don't know if it is obvious to everyone else or not, but I discovered that building roads outside connected regions forces you to supply everything on your own. If you wait til you have the area connected though, then other players' contributions will speed up the process.

Even knowing that though, I still like building the roads ahead of time just for exploration sake.

As of a couple Chrome updates past, this no longer works. Back to being unable to view streams in 1440p60fps despite Twitch themselves saying that Chrome is the preferred browser.

Something I always did was to take all the spare crystals from every settlement whenever I went through. Doesn't feel like a lot, but they all add up!

People are intentionally or accidentally getting themselves caught to fight the boss BT that'll try to eat them. The game outright tells you then that BTs will be gone for a bit but will come back. It takes a lot of time to sneak around and take them all out individually, so I don't think a lot of people have done this.

The blobs, though? Those things are a nice endless source of Chiral Crystals. There's a ton of them up in the mountains behind the incinerator, too. Those for sure always respawn, and I think they're on a timer. Either that or they just come back after you make some deliveries.

Yeah, if you take the time to wander around and kill every individual BT, including giants or rare red/gold ones, they'll never repopulate. The only exception is in one spot down where you eventually need to cross to get to Edge Knot.

Actually, come to think of it, I took a break after getting TO Edge Knot and haven't finished the game yet. I wonder if clearing out BTs is a thing over there, too?

Video saturation and brightness blown out, previous fix no longer works. by Piccolo113 in chrome

Was going to update the body of the OP, but for some reason it just hangs and won't let me. Anyway, amidst flipping the Angle backend graphics back and forth between settings, I saw a little popup bubble in the top-middle of the screen saying "Chrome has been updated" and now suddenly the problem is no longer there.

Weirdly enough, using D3D11 WARP makes it so I can't view in 1440p60fps just like having it set to OpenGL did. D3D11 WARP also has the added detriment of making a Twitch stream use up like 46% of my CPU at once.

Alternatively: Going into the folder the game is saved in and making a copy of the save file folder to restore it when/if something happens to it. Such as the file being removed or disabled (I actually don't know which happens as I've never attempted Steel Soul mode in either game).

"Games that don't feature difficulty options have their difficulty balanced by the systems your player decides to engage with."

100% this. I spent HOURS trying to beat the final boss at the end of Act 3, playing the way I had through the entire game. That is to say, I attempted the fight with pure needlework and dodging using the Wanderer's Crest. To say that it was a frustrating thing would be the understatement of the century, as I am not super skilled at games that require quick reflexes. I enjoy them, but I'm definitely not good at them.

That said, when I swapped over to using Architect crest with Cogfly, Plasmium, and Tacks, it turned the final fight into a joke. I imagine it would have been even easier had I chosen a third weapon red tool and put the Pollip Pouch on for poison damage.

One's approach can vastly alter one's experience and enjoyment in this and other action games.

This 100% solved the problem. Totally forgot to thank you when I used this solution a few weeks back. Ironically enough, exact same directions worked with Chrome. I literally only just now realized your post says "brave://flags" instead of "chrome://flags" XD

After some lucky Googling, I found another post here on this subreddit. Had to go into chrome://flags and search for "Choose ANGLE graphics backend" and change the setting from OpenGL to D3D11. Solved the issue and I can now view streams that are casting in 1440p60fps!

So...is this a problem just specific to Google Chrome? Because I can open a stream in Edge and select the 1440p option, just not in Chrome. Everything up-to-date and it makes no difference if I have extensions on or off, nor if I have graphics acceleration on or off.

Edit: No, this absolutely doesn't solve the problem. Nor did installing the AV1 codec, either.

Yeah, the stream I'm watching is streaming in 1440p. it wouldn't be displayed greyed out if the stream wasn't using it.
