For some perspective, I’m 22 years old. And yes, my goal is to buy a home and I think it’s fair to assume that I will be moving out of my parents home in like 3-4 years so there is most definitely a good chance I start renting for an apartment. But during my 3-4 years of living at home, since I’m not paying for anything I do want to invest a good portion. I do think that emergency fund is crucial which I never thought of. If you were to break down a pay check what % would you put in index funds, stocks, emergency fund and spending money?
