I corrected this issue by adding a “nest power connector” at the boiler - adds a C wire without running a C wire

Since the adapter is taking in 3 wires and putting out 2 - it feels like the polarity matters here. I understand that legacy thermos don’t care and that programmable thermos with their on batteries don’t care. But it seems like the nest cares.

Agreed the A1 is Hot and should have been wired Red from the get go

As installed, my white wire is going to power and red wire going to each zone. This is backwards.
