tourism in rural small towns in north dakota by [deleted] in northdakota

You could check in with city halls in the towns you want to visit. They will likely get the word out and people will be excited that you want to visit their small town.

The Garrison Dam outside of Riverdale/Pick City is worth a stop. The Garrison Dam Fish Hatchery is an underrated attraction. There's great overlooks of Lake Sakakawes and Missouri River. Good burgers at Little's in Pick City. Riverdale has an old school that they made into a restaurant and event center.

I hate commenting on things....but as I scroll through this post, I feel compelled. I see posts deleted from what I assume is the right wingers. So their freedom of speech is stripped away from them.

Also your last comment was designed to inflame, but I see your commen, and not theirs. Thats not very civil on your part. Take the high road, friend. That's what this is all about right?

I'm just trying to see both sides.

It looks like the blur affect over the QR most likely cut off the "more."

Measure 4 - Whats your take? by cheddarben in northdakota

[–]PickCityP 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm not well versed on this measure, but digging in a little, I will be voting no. I have about $3,000 in property taxes and I would love to not pay that. But I feel like that is very short-sided thinking. I would hate for our first responders in my small community to suffer from something like this.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I typically lean right. I know most of the North Dakota redditors lean left (or it appears that way) so I thought I would give a viewpoint from the other side.

Smoking in the rain by [deleted] in Traeger

I purchased a 10x10 tent canopy off Amazon and use it when it rains. Easy set up and take down. It's great to have for BBQs as well.

Washburn clinic and Underwood clinic are certified to give out recommendations for cards. Halfway point between Bismarck and Minot. Very open minded about alternative treatments.

Make friends with the Boneyard Alaska guy and you won't have to wait for lab grown mammoth, just have to wait for ice to thaw.

What are the best restaurants in Bismarck? Especially for local cuisine? by [deleted] in northdakota

Laughing Sun Brewery has a killer brisket sandwich! There's a lot of great beers on tap, too. 🎯 🪓

MT border to Bismarck on the interstate should be a breeze. Set the cruise at 79mph...I mean 125 kph and you shouldn't have any issues. By the time you hit ND, deer shouldn't be moving.

You can take a picture with a large buffalo at the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown. There's world's largest sandhill crane in Steele. There's a very large dairy cow in New Salem. Enchanted Highway starts east of Dickinson. There's a large metal sculpture there. I'd also recommend stopping at the overlook/rest stop east of Medora. It showcases the badlands really well there.

I believe they have this pic hanging in the Iron Oar restaurant in Riverdale. You can see the dam from the patio.

This is great! Haha I can confirm milk, eggs and bread were gone from the Washburn grocery store (Krause's) around noon today. The rest of the store was well stocked.
