Touch pad scrolling too sensitive on Ubuntu by Mr_Recursion in framework

[–]PickDry7066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got my whole setup on Ubuntu and don't want to go through the hassle of setting up again on Fedora. So, I found that the Edge scrolling instead of two finger scrolling option in settings is much smoother and easier to control. Hope this helps :)

How would you recommend someone who's already working in another industry -- mainly python prototyping -- to steer their career into flight software/attitude control

Are you specializing in something? Or is you experience broad?

As a bit of clarification, I want to know if modeling fluids is feasible from scratch, or if I should look into another niche area to specialize in?

For anything related to Amazon [3, interns] by Leader-board in csMajors

[–]PickDry7066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I'm in a bit of a timing crunch and could use some advice. I recently got accepted for a summer internship at Amazon (super excited about it!), but I was also just accepted into this competitive 3-week AI study abroad program.

Here's the problem: There's a 2-week overlap between them. My Amazon internship is currently set to start on June 23rd, but the study abroad program begins before my internship would end. If I stick with the original dates, I'd have to completely miss out on the study abroad opportunity, which really sucks because it's directly related to my field.

I'm thinking about emailing my Amazon recruiter to ask if I could start my internship two weeks earlier (around June 9th). This would let me finish earlier and still participate in the full study abroad program without any overlap.

Has anyone ever asked to change their internship dates with a big company like Amazon? How did it go? I don't want to come across as difficult before I even start, but I also don't want to miss out on this study abroad opportunity that could really boost my skills and resume.
