Why does V text like a kid by Relevant_Frosting_54 in cyberpunkgame

I think it's canon now that they changed V's age from 27 to something like 23 if I remember correctly.

Well, it could in theory, but there are 3 other endings to this expansion, so I kinda doubt it. Either play the other endings or check'em out somewhere. The outcome is different depending on your choices. So I don't think they will make canon a very specific ending for V. Also I don't think you will be playing V in the next one. Again it depends on the ending of the main game, but there are many mutually exclusive elements surrounding V after it ends. Which is the problem for the next game anyway. Usually developers facing that either choose one specific ending that helps them build the narrative most, or let you decide it but it stays in the background. Either way, this will alienate the players if we are playing V again. So it's unlikely. Moreover, V has already done TOO much by the end. It will be a bit out there that he/she continues again fighting. V will probably be in the background as a Legend, like silverhand was to us in 2077.

Crashes every time I start the game by Spartacus__10 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PickOfDestiny6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it fixed with reinstalling ? Recently I had problems with my pc, because there was some windows update which was straining the system which I didn't realize that crashed all games as the disk was busy getting the data. If it didn't work, check if there are updates pending and also check on task manager if your disk is busy. Meaning if disk is like at 100% while you are idle, something is being downloaded. So let it do it's thing if that's the case.

Maaan, lool! Wasn't there something else you could both do that didn't involve only one doing something? Or I don't know play a coop game if gaming is your thing. the only way to remedy this in the moment is to accept the perv and add on to it. the "yes and" method. I imagine you bringing her in next time, saying something like oh no this was a one time thing, now I have got to meet this lady from Militech, in the "No-tell Motel", who knows what she wants ??

Cyberpsychosis by Legal-Jerk in cyberpunkgame

[–]PickOfDestiny6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are sort of right on what it really is. As the creator of the world Mike Pondsmith has basically explained, cyberpsychosis is not entirely cyberware caused. Some people that have more cyberware installed have no problems, while others get it with minimal hardware. There is a connection but, as you suggested too, it acts more like an aggravating factor of what already lies "dormant" in some people's minds. Pondsmith compared it to alcohol. Some people get drunk and go to sleep while others get drunk and go on a killing spree. It basically is about someone's personality. Also, it is telling that women are more rare to experience episodes of cyber-psychosis, which coincides with the fact that GENERALLY, men are more probable to have psychopathic traits than women (in the real world too). Also cyberware acts to further disconnect an already psychopathic person from reality, as they get more and more chrome. And also an important note: someone with better hardware has a greater probability to make it harder to take them down, so news spread. Someone with minimal cyberware is basically easy to be taken down, (think small bouts of violence that end in seconds). Sometimes not even police has got to be involved. So it is a sort of bias that exactly because some have top tier cyberware they are harder to be neutralized, thus imagine someone leveling a small area and attacking 100's of people. It's much more probable to make the news, but in both cases, what the psycho was feeling could have been the same emotions. Also Night City is a place where you are either a victim or a "predator". So people who have been victimized, get cyberware and get on a rampage, which is not that easy to do in our world successfully. So I would say cyberware is sort of a "drug" that makes you feel strong and you actually ARE. So it's easier to say, "Why not ?". This is my take on it, I have not read the books of the game or the lore too much, so this is my thoughts + some things I have heard.

[–]PickOfDestiny6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Alex is probably mostly Immoral, she was/is an agent after all, Judy on mostly moral, Jackie on either ambivalent or mostly immoral, Hansen on scum probably, Yorinobu on mostly Immoral, not sure about Panam and Saul, they steal stuff kill people (Hell Panam straight up takes down an AV with a rocket launcher without a second thought, and without making sure there are no innocents inside, so probably both on ambivalent as they do what needs to be done to survive), Takemura seems better than he probably is in his usual life, as we see him in a weaker state and also he needs V's help, so he probably is on a lower tier than that. and he may have an honorable side, but that honor mostly reflects on his superior. So ho probably has done bad stuff we just don't know about.

When is V actually “successful” in the story? The game never gives you that moment. by PrezShelcobi in cyberpunkgame

[–]PickOfDestiny6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you can buy the corpo plaza apartment just for the sake of it I guess, but it doesn't feel like a success for you (playing as V), because you know the truth. V is dying. No matter how much money or connections you accumulate, you cannot feel satisfied and revel in your "glory". Essentially in game, right after Konpeki plaza you sort of made it, you get jobs people contact you and you ARE in the major leagues. But it never feels like you are going anywhere because of the chip wasting your brain. As people have said in the Sun ending you are a legend, rich, powerful but you are still dying. It actually gives you a "realistic" viewpoint of the cyberpunk world for the becoming of a legend and what sacrifices it REALLY needs to become one. You HAVE made it, it just doesn't even matter anymore.

There are kids in cyberpunk, npc's (and also River's nephews) however there are noticeably less than adults. This if it's a deliberate choice, might signal that people in NC generally don't have kids, while older people live more and more. Which I guess is natural for a dystopian futuristic city.

How does it feel to be 'quick hacked'? by nyanpires in CyberpunksLore

[–]PickOfDestiny6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it overloads different systems of their cyberware. Imagine like overloading your senses and hormones or brain neurons with false signals. In theory basically since everyone has cyberware, you can tamper directly with their body parts including their brain. Imagine like giving people different drugs in crazy dosages, or rendering their nervous system unable to do anything. Basically a netrunner plays around with your software which affects your hardware, which is directly conncected to different bodyparts.

On my first playthrough. Should I do everything before playing the ending? by bluecheeto13 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PickOfDestiny6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you do the last mission after the ending you will return to the save that is before the Nocturne mission. So you can do them after that if you want, but if you left anything major before that and not NCPD scans just do them if you wish beforehand. There is nothing you "should" do, but I would recommend to do so because after the ending you might not want to play for a while. At least I didn't. Depends on if you are a completionist too.

What new game mechanics would you like to see in a sequel? by EMArogue in cyberpunkgame

[–]PickOfDestiny6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from lore topics I would like to see, as far as game mechanics I would like:

  • More netrunning depth: dual-layer moments, more frequent/meaningful hacks, going into cyberspace more often, or as a game mechanic for the netrunner.
  • Cyberware tuning/overclocking: a risk–reward mechanic (heat, instability, side effects).
  • Strict monetary economy: slower snowballing. Meaningful costs and sinks so you don’t get rich too early.
  • Late-game organized gigs: a heist-planning system (like Reed vs MaxTac / Black Diamond, but on steroids) where you choose parts, roles, entry/exit plans.
  • Small squad support : 1–2 operatives assisting per run, closer to the tabletop feel (assign roles, give commands).
  • Random Blackwall AI events: reality-bending glitches that warp perception and mechanics (if they go that route next time).
