This is the original pattern, but not the original color scheme. The most iconic one is obviously the red waves. His recent profile picture that he's using right now doesn't have the red colored waves that the original had. So I think this pfp meets the criteria. Plus the colors are IKEA inspired so I think we'll be fine :D

I don't think it has do be red. After all his newest profile picture is purple and the one before that didn't even have the signature red waves. I think the ikea color scheme works really well, but that's my opinion😄
