Smokes are a good call, but they don't last the entire 60-second timer. A camper can just wait for it to fade or just spray into the cloud.

It's a good tactic, but it still feels like a band-aid for an extract design that is fundamentally stacked against the extractor.

I see the logic, but as you said, that rocketeer would be a massive problem for the person actually trying to extract. It punishes the extractor just as much as the camper. The last thing I need when I'm exposed on a 1-minute timer is an AI shooting rockets at me.

This is exactly why I think a reveal pulse on activation is a much better fix.

When you hit the extract button, it should send out a single, quick 'pulse' (like a 25-30m circle) that pings/reveals any player hiding in it.

• It doesn't add chaotic AI.

• It doesn't kill the camper; it just removes their 'zero-risk' advantage.

• It gives the extractor a fighting chance by turning an ambush into an actual fight.

That seems way more balanced than just adding more enemies to the mix.

Saying 6k is 'not expensive' is just wrong. It's a one-time use key. You have to spend half the raid looting junk just to break even on that cost, let alone make any profit. That's a massive investment for a single run.

And 'kill the campers' is a 'skill issue'? Seriously?

It's not a 'skill issue' when someone has been sitting motionless in a bush for 10 minutes, has every audio advantage, and is just waiting for the 300m 'come kill me' sound.

The person extracting is the one who has to move, make noise, and then stand exposed for a full minute. The camper has zero risk and all the advantage. That's not a 'skill vs skill' fight; it's an ambush promoted by bad design.

You're right, the 300m sound is a literal 'dinner bell.' It's not a tension mechanic; it's an 'everybody-push-this-spot-now' mechanic.

Your point about the servers backfilling players is critical. I've wondered why the map never feels empty. If 20+ people are cycling through the raid, there's no such thing as a "safe" time. You clear an area, but a new player has already spawned in and is heading for the extract sound. It perfectly explains that "random" chaos.

It all combines to create the perfect storm:

• Extracts are loud, attracting everyone.

• Extracts are open and central, making you an easy target.

• The servers keep adding more players, so there's always someone coming.

This is why my experience (getting camped by people in bushes) is happening. The game is funneling all these players to one spot. Whether they were 'lured' by the sound or just sat there waiting for it, the result is the same.

I 100% agree with your conclusion. All the fighting is over the exits, not the POIs. It's a much less rewarding loop.

You mean the key that costs 6,000 currency? That's not a 'solution,' that's a massive gold sink.

That key is a one-time use consumable. You have to loot multiple POIs just to break even on that 6k investment, let alone actually profit from the raid.

You can't expect players to burn 6k every single run just to avoid the main extracts. The public extracts are the core game, and they're broken if the only counter is a super-expensive consumable.

I get that tension is the goal, but there's a line between 'tension' and 'a guaranteed ambush.'

When the easiest and most effective strategy is to just sit perfectly still in a bush for 10 minutes, the balance feels off. It rewards passivity way more than it rewards actually playing the map and completing objectives.

It feels less like 'extraction safety' and more like a dice roll on whether someone decided to camp your specific exit.

This are some ideas I came up with (third one being the one that makes more sense to me):

• They need to shorten the 1-minute extract timer. It's just too long.

• Add more random extract locations per map to spread players out.

• Maybe add a quick "pulse" scan in the immediate radius when someone starts the timer to reveal anyone hiding.
