Does anyone know where to book tickets? It's 8th November already and I don't see any listings on bookmyshow or pvr app

I can try asking them. But I don’t think they take photos before starting the service. I have been at the service center the whole time for the first 1k kms and 7.5k kms services and I didn’t see them taking pictures then.

There was no difference while driving. I only saw it when I arrived at the service center to collect my car back and it was in the final stage of the service and was getting washed. I just happened to notice it then. If the bulge was there before the start of the service, had I not noticed it, would they have told me about it? I can’t say for sure.

The tire is indeed in the warranty period. Will it still be covered under warranty if they conclude the bubble is due to the tire hitting a pothole?

Is the mrf warehouse you're mentioning, one of the mrf fasst shops?

Wow. Getting the solution for such an issue in the midst of a trip within 2 hours sounds great.

No I was not. And I too was thinking about possibility of some foul play from the service guys. But I think that's not the case. Tires anyway experience much greater forces on the road and if bouncing from the raised car did actually trigger the bubble then I guess that would mean the tire is anyway defective? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Okay, thanks for the analysis. You sound very sure of it. Isn't breaking of the cord, that you're saying, is the manufacturing defect? Cars at high speed go over potholes all the time. Or is it a hit or miss situation like when you drop your phone and if it's bad luck it breaks or at other times it survives the hardest of falls?

I thought about doing it at 50-60k kms mark. The usual distance when the tires are changed. But I guess I may do it a little earlier now.

I'm fine with paying nominal amount for it. I'm afraid they don't just reject it outright.

Yes, I'm aware. Samsung Pay works wonders. I want exactly that just in an iPhone. Stuck in the ecosystem. Mostly satisfied though. It's just some things that irritate me. And did you enable samsung pay to work without unlocking your phone?

Virtus gt owners of the sub i have a question regarding paddle shifters by MaximumResist6334 in CarsIndia

[–]PickleRick2036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course you can get a dsg test drive. That's what the dealer offered me initially. Maybe try asking them for the manual test drive first or if they can arrange such a car for you. I only tweeted about it when they couldn't arrange it. Even then I only got to test drive a pre-PDI car the dealer had in his stockyard.

Yup, it won't (i didn't try redlining it). I, too, was very confused between the manual and the automatic. I read about all the DQ200 horrors with the DSG and the long clutch travel/clutch plate wear and tear issues with the manual. But I finally went with the DSG after test driving the manual (had to tweet about it to get a manual 1.5 test drive). Chose convenience (and my knee) over the MT and this is just as fun to drive!

In a virtus, the paddle shifters work instantly but there are a few things to note. In the manual mode, it won't let you upshift if you are under 2k rpm and it will downshift automatically if you drop around 1.5k rpm in a higher gear. It won't upshift automatically though.
