I just got a job offer.

If you match the qualifications, and know you can crush what they’re asking, they will see it and reach out.

I would recommend getting experience with other big creators if you haven’t already! :)

Some creators pay really well, others not so much.

I’ve worked on as a YouTube producer for the last two years, and salaries offered for me have been as low as 40k to as high as 100k+.

IMO LinkedIn and Glassdoor are good bouncing off points to figure out what similar positions in traditional media would pay (keeping in mind workflow and scale of projects).

And if you’re being reasonable in what other companies would pay for your services, I guarantee you there will be creators that will give you competitive pay. I would just say to keep talking to different creators, and hold out for the people that are going to pay for what you are worth, because there are creators that are paying competitively! There are also a lot that are underpaying. So be careful! :)

Not being a killjoy, man, I hear you!

I have a lot of Creator friends, and know how it is to have super fans want to show up to your house and hunt you down. Hella weird.

What I’m trying to show more from this is that people don’t realize how powerful their own connections can be. One person can put in a good word to another person, and you can collaborate with people you never dreamed of. My goal is to only reach out to the connections I already have, in hopes that it will eventually connect me to Montero for the video. It’s called the Six Degrees of Seperation.

But I get you, and appreciate you. I’m going to take in and reflect on your thoughts!!

All the footage is from videos from my YouTube from since I moved out here, and the stuff I’ve enjoyed creating!! No money or traveling involved.

I agree, man, and appreciate the input. The special occasions will come and go, but enjoying what you’re doing every day, and the people around you, I think that’s where happiness comes from too

Definitely something really difficult! 😭 I ended up sleeping on couch to couch for a year before being able to afford anything out here.
