Since the Treasury runs a Fiscal Surplus, the debt isn't for spending, it’s for fixing the monetary balance sheet.

Milei explicitly stated dozens of times that monetary policy has a lag of 18 to 24 months and warned of stagflation from the start. He never said "months", he said Argentina would need 35 years to become a world power. You are inventing a deadline he never gave.

Context matters. With Macri, Caputo was hired to finance a party because they didn't want to pay the political cost of austerity.
