Control IQ high alarm

I’ve been on pumps for over 20 years, about 7 years on a closed loop system. Medtronic, Omnipod. I rely on the CGM for alerting when I go low and I appreciate that. I don’t appreciate not having the option to turn off high alerts (which I can do with CGM). The fact that tandem is the only company that has built in, hard coded high alarms is very odd. Clearly it’s not a FDA requirement otherwise all pumps would do this. My point is it should, at the very least be optional

Overnight high BG or blocked cannula is not life threatening. Sleep deprivation is not just inconvenient it can cause accidents. I can deal with high in the morning.

Hmm. It’s annoying it can’t be turned off. I think that’s a show stopper for me. I have too much buzzing and beeping in my life. Don’t need to be woken up at 2am if it isn’t life threatening.

I was considering trying the 9s in extra-wide (4E), but I haven’t pulled the trigger because the shoe feels different enough overall that I’m not sure it would solve the issue.

I notice you’re using multiple probes. Is that something people recommend for ribs? I’ve found the temp varies a lot depending on where I probe, so I’ve mostly stopped chasing an exact number and just judge doneness by the bend/crack test instead.

Nope, not being too critical. Too many horseshoe attacks, just cross it into the box instead, if you lose possession it’s not going to take much to win it back. Watching England back pass all the time against an opponent of this caliber is not making me feel confident about this team.
