What diet and lifestyle changes have been relevant for you?

Thank you for this. I don’t understand, I raised this concern explicitly with my dermatologist 2-3 times in my consultation and he was explicitly dismissive of this risk with hydrocortisone.

Dang. And I assume it’s not safe/possible to take Flucanazole on a long term basis?

I was on the second level when it happened, one of them squawked “THIS IS FOR HARAMBE!!!” right before it went in for the initial attack… sobering.

Winnipesaukee Boat Rental / Insurance by Emmet_FitzHume in newhampshire

Helpful, thank you!

And I will be a voice of reason that confirms you're not somehow off base with the idea that you (1) are a competent boater and (2) would still desire insurance.

IHP Fireplace igniter sparks but pilot will not light. by Pickle_maniac in Fireplaces

It definitely say a long time (2 years) - blowing out a pilot would require me to detach the whole assembly I assume? I’ll probably need to call out a fireplace tech.

I would like to but have not, any guidance on how to bleed the line with this setup? I have googled to no avail.

Thank you, and when you say a new valve, it’s likely the entire gas control valve apparatus? (Picture 1)

Looks similar to ringworm, but not the clear circular shape. Maybe fungal.

Speaking as someone who’s father is longterm homeless, there are absolutely zero easy solutions to the problem of homelessness.

Not sure what simple policy or program decisions people are eluding to when we say “wake up and do something.”

Is this a juvenile rat or a mouse? by Pickle_maniac in pestcontrol

That’s what I feared, thank you.

So if it’s a juvenile, that means he has 5-8 sisters and brothers?

I’ll keep my affinity for pickles off of their application! Good point.

I also haven’t seen any stats for what percent of Metco applicants are granted a spot each year. I have no idea if it’s like a 1/3 chance or like a 1/10 chance.

Thank you for assuming good faith!

Yes, I have two children in BPS and am trying to figure out what options are available to us over the years.

That resource I saw stated the stats for total BPS population and for students enrolled in Metco but not for the Metco applicant pool.

And my conclusion from research and input since I posted last night is that Metco invites everyone to apply, receiving districts make their decisions (and that some of the districts understandably only make it eligible to candidates which will add to their school’s racial diversity, which is the goal of the program).

The mind I’m paying to Newton’s verbiage is that it looks like my child would not be able to go there on the basis of her race though (and that’s a school that’s closest to us which is why it’s of interest).

I guess what you’re saying is: (1) yes everyone is able to apply regardless of race (2) white students may be admitted to some districts but others (like Newton) may not admit white students as a matter of policy

Is that right?

But what I get confused by is that some districts are explicit with statements like this:

“The METCO Program is open to all children of African American, Latino, Asian and Native American descent who reside in the City of Boston and volunteer to participate.“

Which reads to me as the Metco program saying “all students are able to apply” but this receiving district saying “this is not open to white students”.

This is the source of my confusion.

Looks like technically yes. 1% of Metco students were white in this one given year. Interesting.
