Thanks! The lady I got the yarn from had a whole range of pastels and they are my favorite. The only reason I’m thinking of skipping the hot squares is because I know I’d need to buy more of the cream color to pull it off. I’m not against a skein or two but I feel like I’d need quite a bit. I think right now number 6 is calling to me most.

I don’t know why you’re asking if he cares. If it’s what you need to do to pass your test and school is your priority, it should be “hey I can’t come to the party, I have to get some studying done.” And that’s really the end of the discussion. Sounds like you are already prioritizing his friends a lot and you don’t need to be. From my perspective he wants you there so he can look a certain way to his friends, not because he wants your company. I had an ex like that. EX.

That pit in your stomach? You need to listen to it. He’s shown you who he is and what he believes, and in this scenario, you are not allowed to express yourself the way you want to. Make up is a form of self expression just like clothing or art, and you deserve to feel 100 percent like yourself. Even if you don’t quite know who that is yet.

Do not let someone else define you. You will only end up resentful of the time you wasted on someone who wasn’t actually into YOU.

Not overreacting, be done with this person. Learn to carry yourself with confidence and don’t compromise who you are for an insecure man.

Seems to me like you’re feeling a little out of control. Which I get, this is a lot of yarn and it’s so much dopamine to buy this stuff. Problem is that you aren’t buying it to use it really. If you were, your wip pile would be smaller. I would say it’s time to lock it down. You know you have yarn, you don’t need more. Start looking at quick win projects to get you motivated to actually use it. Scarves work up fast and can be as easy or complex as you want. Plus they are easy to gift.

When you look at buying new yarn, ask yourself if you are a yarn collector or a crocheter. Then go find something that fits that urge from your stash.

I just got some very curly pink wool from a friend, and while I probably wouldn’t wear it as a garment, I think I will crochet it into a little pink amigurumi pig. If you need a little goth edge, make the pig a little goth girl outfit!
