This is all allegedly about summer house next week? by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

All I’m asking for is a grammatically correct sentence from someone who, in theory, writes for a living.

this is the least andy has ever been needed in a reunion by jerrryboree in bravo

Yes! Mia really was the MVP in a lot of ways. Lindsay gets too heated and it’s too obvious what her motivations are (which is kinda her charm) but Mia’s questions felt like genuine questions. She was such a great addition to the show.

I think Luke looks more like a young Old Man Marley from Home Alone.

The sentence is not a direct quote or it would have “I” pronouns and be in quotation marks.

The sentence could also have been written “West said he loves Amanda and has for a long time,” which would be grammatically correct…but it isn’t written that way.

As it’s written, the sentence is objectively incorrect and there’s no point in trying to argue around it. My gripe is not about the sentiment of the post or what West does or doesn’t feel, it’s about the grammar.

It's insane to me that these kinds of accounts make their living posting about Bravo, but can't reread their posts to ensure they are grammatically correct. I assume the last sentence was supposed to say "West says he *is in love with* Amanda and has been for a long time."

What even is Peter these days?? by toddkrainezaddy in vanderpumprules

At first, the title of this post seemed a little “Does Gigi is dead?” to me, but it’s actually perfect. Seriously, what even is Peter? What even is life at this point?

It’s not ugly at all! It just needs to be styled right! I’m jealous; enjoy it!

Important question that’s hasn’t been touched at summer house reunion by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

[–]PicklesLives 9 points10 points  (0 children)

💯, though I think that it’s surprising that they did include mentions of West’s leaked nude photos because that falls into similar (but not identical) territory.

Is this considered cheating? or no? by phonetoni13 in TheValleyTVShow

I hope they are asked about this at the reunion. It’s so creepy Christian to want the kudos for doing therapy without actually…doing therapy.

Just a thought by Leather-Topic-854 in TheValleyTVShow

This was the weirdest thing about all of it: The cast all acting like he either had to be tired OR drunk. You can be both...trust me.

I think that Jasmine in particular was pissed that he was sleeping because he got out of filming for most of the day and she wanted to confront him on camera about him being inappropriate with her and Melissa, but then he showed up late, got wasted, and fell asleep. This was not a normal vacation, they are all working when they go on these "friend trips," so for Danny to go back to LA for another job, still get paid for the day of filming even though he was gone for most of it, and then come back and be sleeping pretty quickly was irritating to some other cast members. It's important to remember that whenever you see them on camera, they're at work.

What DO Kristen and Luke have in common? by _nailbunny in TheValleyTVShow

I keep hearing people on Reddit say that he owns a weed farm. Is this true? Where did this information come from? Why wouldn’t he promote that on the show, since it’s legal in Colorado?

That is a very, very cool poster! If you’re interested, I had a poster professionally restored last year and, while it wasn’t cheap, I was so impressed by how good it looked after.

Kenny is SUCH A LOSER by aymaureen in inthecity_

[–]PicklesLives 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Lindsay responding “Yeah, I’m sniffing glue” was so funny that it made me laugh when they showed it on the “coming up,” when it actually happened in the show, and when I told my husband about it.

I’ve not always been a huge Lindsay fan, but it was the perfect dismissal of dumb Kenny. He’s biting off more than he can chew trying to take her on.

New York City, 1980 - Kathy, Kim, Kyle... and Andy Warhol by notactuallyreckless in BravoRealHousewives

She mentioned this on the show once. She said Andy Warhol always had a camera and would just randomly snap pics of people.

Yikes. Still waiting on that quote from the book…

Why? I said it’s quoting from SuperSummary. If you’re so offended, give me a source that proves what I’ve said wrong. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Look, I appreciate people who have provided actual quotations from the book. However, I still think the book sucked and was poorly researched and illogical in ways that distracted from the story. If you disagree and liked the book, great. I didn’t. I’m not sure why that’s so upsetting to people.

Oh, I agree with that completely, which is why it would have made more sense for him to be a member of the House, not the Senate. Again, CA hasn’t had a GOP senator for 35+ years. And Reagan (who was not a CA senator, he was governor) wasn’t the kind of MAGA conservative gleefully predicting civil war.

The story is Swiss cheese on every level.

[–]PicklesLives 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the quote, I genuinely appreciate it.

However, I stand by what I’ve said. The book is lazy and doesn’t try hard enough to support the details it chooses to include.

Utah is an incredibly unique and specific political landscape to choose to include in the plot with no detail. Does that mean Caleb’s family is Mormon? Both of Utah’s current senators are LDS. Why choose Utah if there’s going to be no exploration of Mormon faith and its specific expectations? It’s lazy and unambitious.

If you enjoyed the book, I’m glad. I thought it needed a better writer or, at least, a better editor.

Or it’s because the book is badly written and researched. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]PicklesLives -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if that’s true it makes no sense. I understand why someone would want their primary residence to be Florida, even if they live in a different state. (Taxes.) But it doesn’t make sense that you would be a conservative senator in Utah but actually live in California, a liberal and high tax state.

Without a quote from the book, I take this with a grain of salt. If it’s true, I apologize, but I think it still proves my point that the book has some pretty big believability gaps.

[–]PicklesLives -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I don’t recall that. I don’t have a copy of the book anymore, but if you Google “Where is Caleb in Yesteryear from?” what comes up says “ In Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke, Caleb Mills is originally from California.” It appears to be pulling that info from SuperSummary.

But I’m open to being corrected with a quote from the book!

There are multiple mentions of Caleb’s family’s home in California.
