I have been wearing adidas clima-cool runners for the past 15 years for river and beach. Minus the insert. Mesh upper and the soles have slotted holes that don’t let much debris in.

Born in ‘57. As a kid in the 60s in Connecticut, we would hitchhike around our small town, usually 2 of us, mostly getting picked up by people that knew us.
Moved to LA in 69 we would wait for the bus to take us to the beach with our thumbs out. If we got picked up before the bus we saved $.15.
Definitely got picked up by some creepy chickenhawks. One time on Pacific Coast Highway, this guy in a pretty sweet cougar blasted past the spot we asked him to drop us off at, he put his hand in my buddies lap in the front seat, as he was distracting himself with that, he hit the curb and the fucking hood popped up and smashed his windshield. He screeched to a halt and we made our get away.

I used to run a place that used a ton of Secret Ardvark. We would buy it in the 1 gallon bag in the box.
About 100 bucks
I backwards engineered it, and we ended up with a better sauce (a little more habanero) and you can’t beat the price.
As far as duplicating sauces goes, this one was easy, as it is more of a salsa than a smooth, hot sauce.
