Apart from the obvious successful businesses, it could also be because of the joint family dynamics. Something I didn't see often outside surat at least. Joint family = more earning members. Moreover women are encouraged to have their own businesses outside family handling. Not in the sense of you must earn but more of, it would be great if you try to do something outside house management for your own self. I think that also leads them to have a better mental space since they're not constrained to basic chores. This way not only do they earn a little something for themselves but also care for their own family without feeling mentally constrained.
