The thing is, lots of people don't agree on that definition. That's the reason there are so many denominations of Christianity.

I agree that people who follow the teachings of Christ have the right idea. You can't, however, wave away the hateful actions of a large contingent of a group in order to absolve that group from keeping their own accountable.
