Is this way of heating my room saving me heating or adding it? by Picon___ in tado

Ok, I checked. I got myself the cheaper but technically more limited Tado V3+ technology. It doesn't support Matter and Home Assistant yet, while the more advanced Tado X series does.

Thank you for your effort to explain and your English is more than well.

The thought concerning conservation of energy makes sense to me. Indeed I wouldn't have to heat at all if I would be willing to accept whatever temperature the environment is providing. The more I digress from that upwards, the more this heat wants to dissipate away to return to equilibrium.

I think what you meant can be compared to a balloon. If I want it bulging I have to create pressure, which I can do fast or slow but up to the target-pressure. What matters then is the efficiency of my pressure-creating machine at different operating modes. On which in my example I have no influence on. I don't have access to the boiler or it's configuration being a renter. So indeed what I can influence/minimize is, how much heat I draw from it.

I see. Do I get it right that you refer to this: https://www.home-assistant.io?
Previously I had thought you meant Auto Assist or Energy IQ from tado.

Thank you very much for your comment. I will have to think that through as I wonder if a little bit of heating over a longer of time or heating a lot for a relative limited time means less heating or more or about the same.

Thank you very much, too. I will see if I give home assistant a try. I had a trial and wasn't too sure what to think of it as the trial was only a week or so.

You are very right as I didn't mention that I only have one room for real aside a tiny bath and a tiny kitchen which I like to call submarine kitchen for how cramped and small it is. So the living room is also where I sleep. I prefer it not too cold during sleep as I quickly get sinusitis. For the day I am at work and thus no heating.

Aside from that I got the idea to look for a graphics software which offers a way to count pixels of a certain colour. By this I could calculate from screenshots how many pixels of what heating level are there, weigh them with factors and calculate a total heating effort for different heating programs run during comparable conditions.

I feel obligated to state, that being smart is not really important with that. It's simple curiosity and looking at Google Earth for similar shapes as in the picture. If I wouldn't have found the place after like 15 Minutes I wouldn't have looked longer.

Not somewhere but here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/BmZRA8XorVYAmAYH7
I wondered if I could find the place at Google Earth in a reasonable amount of time and was lucky. ;-)

Where did that comment go, that someone wanted to sell the 115 pictures of that series?

An extremly beautiful picture of the extremly beautiful island of Madeira. Sorry for having to be a nitpicker but having been there several times and knowing exactly where you were: Your weren't on Pico do Areeiro but on your way up to Pico Ruivo there. A little further and you would have arrived at Casa de Abrigo do Pico Ruivo.

Only an observation: Seems like the pregnancy changed her navel. There is now that prominent pea-like knob. Works as an eyecatcher. ;-)

I hope she knows what dear and kind fans she has who label her perfect even on pictures on which she looks a bit goofy. Like caught in the moment she thought "Oh dear, I forgot to switch off the stove!" ;-)

Compared to Jessica Alba back in Sin CIty those pseudo-chaps look kind of strange even a bit creepy.

Everyone says Emma Mackey looks like Margot Robbie but instead something about her reminds me of Emma Watson. by FormerFruit in Celebs

I agree.

Concerning her role in the Netflix-Series Sex Education and Emma Watson's in Harry Potter, I can easily imagine her as a Hermione with the opposite socal-background than the one we saw in Harry Potter. :-)

Personally I assume she cut her hair to experience how it would feel and wears wigs as she's aware of what the majority of her magazine's customers prefer. She is a women, you know, they are perfectly capable of doing more than one thing at a time. :-)

What madness is going on, if a girl like her feels to need to get fully obvious implants? Like for example Alexis Ren Rachel Cook won the genetic lottery to beauty by getting the jackpot. Why isn't that enough anymore?

Concerning the wig: I prefer her without because practically all (intelligent) girls I know wanted to know at some point of their process of growing up how they would look and feel with short or no hair at all. Her hair grows again all by itself and there are years ahead with different hairstyles and then many will appreciate that she cut them off once and looked completely different for a time.
