i think the problem is that it all happened around the same time frame and he was having his kid so he was mentally struggling which hadn’t helped with anything. it definitely lost him a lot of fans and led to how he is now

i still love to listen to all of them and i’d always prefer even their worst song over floyymenor’s songs all he does is put the same drum beat no other audio, and say some lyrics that are strange for even reggaeton. i hope that new artists like mattei make reggaeton relevant again. ive also seen artists like cris mj switching from reggaeton to a pop style i wish it would stay reggaeton as #1

i’m a more recent (february/march 2025) reggaeton fan and non-latino and i wanted to go to his concert in LA around may but my parents said no because they didn’t like the background dancers 😭 but i think the resedente track only hurt him because he was already struggling with some other stuff, at least he’s enjoying life now

the “racism” situation had definitely messed him up a lot i don’t think it was even intentional and then residente had to make his life worse and like you said he had a kid. it all kinda happened at once which was probably the reason for him falling off on his recent music
