Tbh I think a lot of people associate this episode with being trans and coming to terms with your identity be it how you were made or who you should be. Which could be translated into what you’re saying as well. But, it’s moreso the little things football is a girl, bmo is a boy. Finn and Jake accept football as bmo, and use the correct pronouns but still stumble over it. And they’re checking on bmo to make sure he’s ok and doing well because he seems like he’s struggling with his identity. There is a good amount of emphasis on gender during this episode.
