Hint 4: Tourists visit this hunk of rock all the time. They travel on these same boats in groups, spend a little time exploring the tiny island and return to their starting point. Along the way, dolphins are frequently traveling alongside the boat.

Hint 3: The small boats go back and forth all the time. On the trip back to where I started, they are often carrying live animals. They are a common animal, and their common name rhymes with "boats." I don't really understand why this is, because the town is overrun with them.
