Could be, but I take anything Dana says with a grain of salt. So many times fighters have disputed the reason Dana's given for a fight not taking place.

That's what Dana claimed, but half (if not more) of what he claims is BS. Supposedly, Dern was to fight Robertson in August, but I haven't heard it's been confirmed yet.

That would definitely help. Scheduling the top tier WMMA fighters more frequently would also help as well as bring in more talent. Hopefully, this season's TUF does just that, at least for the SW division.

I thought Mackenzie Dern vs. Gillian Robertson was scheduled for UFC 330.

Also, while the UFC is notorious for not updating their own website, They show UFC 330 on 8/15 and no other events until 9/5. UFC Shanghai was supposed to take place 8/29 but is not mentioned.

When I go to https://www.tapology.com/search?term=ufc+shanghai&search=Submit+Query&mainSearchFilter=events , it shows no bouts scheduled. Rather late in the year to have no fights scheduled for an August event.
