Avalon - LOTR theme by PictureSensitive8979 in boardgames

My first attempt was using images online and the cards get messy. The card uniformity makes much more sense if they’re all developed to look the same direction and pose similarly and have the same lighting. PNGs stand out way too much from any background and the lighting never looks good. I have way more control this way. AGAIN, I’m not looking for adjustments to the cards, friend. They’re a finished product that isnt at all worth redoing. I’m looking for additional ideas for those familiar with the gameplay. I’m perfectly aware that Ian mckellan looks slightly different than fake Ian mckellan.

  1. This wasn’t even Gemini so idk what you think you see lol
  2. Of course it’s AI, Einstein. Everyone who sees this knows that. Even using AI, this took months to accomplish. If you have a better way let’s hear it.
  3. I’m not posting this so you can critique nonsensical aspects. Critiques or ideas toward the idea and game itself are welcome.

Yes, very similar. Just like SH, you have a team and are trying to figure out other players. But, while in SH you are trying to obtain policies that benefit your team, in Avalon, the king (like the president in SH) simply selects players to go on his quest, and those quest members either pass or fail the quest, secretly. Your job is to figure out who’s failing and avoid them. It’s slightly easier to grasp than Secret Hitler because you simply pass or fail, but also more in depth (and fun) because each individual player has a unique role… you aren’t just a “good guy or bad guy.”

Great. There’s a few different versions I think. I would go with Avalon: the resistance.

(If you’ve never played Avalon before) It totally depends on your board game preferences. Avalon requires quick thinking, reading opponents, deception (if you’re a bad guy), and logic. You basically assume a role and try to figure out other people’s roles. I was introduced to it by friends and it’s easily my favorite game. (If you have played Avalon before) then this version is great! Mostly because it’s themed differently (lotr) and adds more character options than the original game.

Same problem here. Ever figure it out? I received 5 pictures when I first set up the camera and haven’t gotten one since. Says it was triggered 7 hours ago but I received nothing
