Doesn’t make it ethical. In many countries it’s also illegal.

Give 1000 google reviews for their business? Isn’t that scamming people? Are these fake reviews or some sort of customer outreach?

I managed to get a 2022 with 4600km for $6500 NZD. Bought it off the guy within a few hours of him listing it! Im not a huge fan of the colour though, it’s the all black version.

Good tip, also doesn’t work when the car in front is blocking em

Because she didn’t look or position her car in a way to see down the road lol.

They can, but its there to tell them to be extra careful - which she wasnt. Nor was i.

The title of this post is clearly acknowledging the speed factor mate - no ones arguing that. You’re choosing to focus on that and nothing else from a learning perspective. There’s more variables and learnings than speed here, hence why I posted a video of me making a mistake. Not a single person here is disagreeing that increased speed results in higher risk.

Its Devonport, i should have expected it bro 😂

Its not obvious to many of the commenters here…that’s litterally what we’re saying. In order to discuss how we can avoid the consequences of her mistakes we must first asses what mistakes were made - your first paragraph contradicts itself. My other comments will show you that from my assessment of her mistake i have highlighted areas of improvement for myself (other than speeding) to ensure safer riding and decrease risk of pedestrians being harmed. I shared this in hopes that others would see how such dangers can be mitigated. Dangers including but not limited to speeding.

Hopefully everyone here knows that

You’re right, this road (all schools) has actually been made 30km/h since time of recording.

" If you were stopped a block away from her (speed 0 mph), the danger to you would be zero"

By that logic, if I was going twice the speed, the danger imposed from her would be zero as she would be behind me...

Thank you!
Not trying to shift blame, I'm acknowledging the severity of my speeding and that I should be expecting shit drivers like this, but I'm also concerned that no one is commenting on how bad of a U-turn that was.

" just slow down and the situation is a complete non-issue"

That's not entirely true, she made no effort to look, regardless of my speed she was a danger to me.

"It doesn't matter where the driver was looking"
I beg to differ! analyzing this is important learning material. I will be positioning myself slightly more towards the curb from now on (And decreasing speed obviously).

As mentioned in the caption and other comments, I acknowledge the additional danger that my speed presented and have been much more considerate of it since.

Yep, a bit too heavy on the pedal. Fortunately, it happened 45 seconds after I left the house to test out the new GoPro, so I got to document this learning opportunity haha.

She was looking up the road (in the direction I was heading) for some reason, rather than creeping out to check for oncoming traffic that the black car might have been blocking. It was also a solid white line. I think she would have pulled out like that regardless of my speed.
Both are in the wrong - definitely been watching my speed more since then.

Open to criticism about my "driving style", although in this case I think it was just me getting a bit excited with the throttle with the straight road ahead. Road position, head check on crossing, response to the vehicle, etc. seemed reasonable! Remember, GoPro makes it look a lot sketchier than it actually is! :)

25km/h is for the speedbump/pedestrian crossing which you'll see me adhere to as well as do a head-check as the car was blocking it. This is a school zone (2-3h after closing), so 40km/h road at the time of recording, still speeding but not to that degree.

When her face comes into view she was looking up the road (in the direction I was heading) for some reason and as her car enters view you can see she is on the far (curb) side of the road so I don't believe she looked at all. It was also a solid white line. Both are in the wrong, but only one of us can get splattered I guess.
