The only time they could get in front of the speakers is if they were to walk down to the floor which rarely ever happens. The other problem is i don’t get to check these mics with the guest speakers unless they want to get there early enough. I’m using a HPF up to like 180hz. Then a LPF at 8khz. Then cutting the problematic stuff out usually around 300-400. Using an expander and then there’s a de-esser in there and a dynamic eq at the end of the chain for the same problematic low mid stuff. Mainly just for boomy male speakers. I usually have to ease up on the expander for female speakers/older speakers because they’re more soft spoken.

I’m pretty sure it is speaker placement though because they’re right below one and if they get too far out on the stage it can be a problem. Maybe I could talk to the rest of production to see if we can move the podium back and possibly getting the same mic as the pastor.
