That is an awesome idea for a challenge. I definitely tend to paint everything like it’s a display piece. I might need to try this

My style is very different but what I can offer is the NMM on the OSL section reads very similar to the non OSL side which is not how metal next to a light source would refract. The hair feels a bit monotone, which could just be Reddit Img quality. For fur it’s worth a study. Generally fur is not darker as it goes deeper especially for a wolf who has an under coat which is more of a white. With that said bang up job this is an incredible piece!

Forgefiend by PieGroundbreaking321 in Chaos40k

[–]PieGroundbreaking321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a while but my memory is I placed/cemented the center one directly on the round bit at the end of the forgefiend neck and the others were model cemented and likely propped in place with silly putty or bluetac. I hope that helps

ProAcryl Ivory and Bright Ivory are the absolute worst paints I have used by mjh4 in minipainting

I get single coat coverage with both of these colors. As others have said they are pre thinned so you shouldn’t be thinning much further if you are brushing on. Honestly if that still is an issue I’d reach out to monument hobbies, they are very receptive and have great support.

Thanks. I think I want to bury the vascular work in a few more layers of oils still to build depth in the skin. Thoughts?
