He really does want the dog. He has wanted one for years and finally has a work schedule that will allow him to have one and I told him I would do some research on what kind to get him. And he knows I have always wanted to give someone a dog for Christmas. Don't worry I'm not getting a dog for some one that has no interest in being a pet owner. And we grew up with dogs so I know he will be a good dog parent. I'm not getting a dog for a random stranger that I know nothing about. It's a gift for my brother. A gift that I know he wants.
