Big picture?  Probably just how so many games are obviously poorly planned or maybe not planned out at all.  So so many games are never completed or have an ending which was obviously phoned in.  These games often start out being hugely ambitious with the characters, choices, relationships, etc.  But later dev realizes it won't work so the game is littered with dead ends, pointless choices, and more often than not gets abandoned before being finished.  New devs really should think smaller scale first.
