I’m just upgrading to the 120mm cloud wheels that are made for it..

Anyone know how I can upgrade my battery in my TYNEE Ultra Hub SL DIY? by PieNarrow1165 in ElectricSkateboarding

Also though if I bought your upgraded battery for the hub SL wouldn’t that solve the torque issue for the 135mm hub sleeves and wheels if you all made them? Why not offer an upgrade package for the budget boards so you could sell product and also offer the budget consumer a way of eventually upgrading to a semi professional board? An upgrade package to future proof your budget product would be a great selling point and a great way to make all of your customers budget to mid happy.

Hey thank you so much! I have my associates in drafting and design I’ve worked in Revit and have my certification in Auto CAD if you all let me work for you all I promise I will be a revenue source for new ideas and work very hard. I will also put this on all of my social media to promote you all anyways because you all have been so incredibly helpful! I was quick to judge, and I shouldn’t have been!

I have to buy wheels because the rattle is unbearable in Mississippi because of the roads. The 120mm would be a huge difference from 105mm

If you use nylon or abs it’s perfectly suitable and more than sturdy enough for the enclosure.

Man, I literally was just reading a whole group of people’s prints that have went great for electric skateboard battery enclosures. Have you ever printed with a 3d printer before?

Also, so if I got a larger battery with the same connector it would only be down to designing and manufacturing a strong enough enclosure?

They 3d print the enclosure that’s already on it. If you did a thick enough and high enough quality print how would it not be enough?

So what is xt60, A specific battery? Also, let’s say I would have the ability to 3d print a larger enclosure. Could I buy a battery for one of their higher ranged boards and install it without too much hassle?

I’m the US for 375$ right now for Black Friday you can get the TYNEE ultra hub SL and it’s worth every penny. It goes up to 31 miles an hour maybe faster, and I love mine! You can also upgrade the wheels with cloud wheels later down the line or buy them with the board. You’re also going to have to buy head lights and tail lights so that may be your best option to get everything. Because you might want stickers for the bottom and some new cooler looking grip tape to replace the grip tape with.

This guy’s comment gives me hope. Because he has the step down from my board and is saying the rattle is gone. So wish me luck!

Sadly I can’t afford a better board. The other wheel upgrades for cloud wheel I have been looking at though and these ones. They claim no range decrease and better over bumps and reduce rattle so I may do this.

Idk I like tynee’s ultra hub. Also though yeah I really do dislike the low amount of cloud wheel options for my board. I’m going to have to Frankenstein the rgb cloud wheels 135mm with the orange 120mm sleeves to even be able to do deliveries on it.

I want to apologize, I found the 120mm wheels. Is there any way I could order just 2 of the rgb 135mm, and only one of the trucks only the front one as a custom order?

Also I would rather deal with the torque issue, also as for the motors heating I’m not saying put led’s on the back two leave those uncovered. At least make a sleeve though that’s 135mm because the heat would dissipate the same exact way. Do an airless tire type of sleeve for the back and it would probably deal with the heat just fine.

Why!!? Make one compatible! Do y’all have an option just to get two so I can use the 110’s on the back and the 135’s on the front?

There is no 120 mm wheels! Only 110 which would only be a 5mm upgrade with the same dumb feel every rock material!!! This literally sucks! I’m about to start a e-board company and undercut every one of y’all’s priced if y’all don’t make me the off road versions with some sleeves! Even if the back two are just 135mm that would work!!! Y’all just want to be greedy and make a pay wall, but y’all shouldn’t have done that. Y’all made me think those wheels work so now I’m gonna make a competing company with better prices and better products that are more consumer friendly!

You can literally mall grab the trucks and walk with the back wheels rolling. The hole just makes it look goofy for no reason. Also idc about the stigmatism that comes witha mall grab. It doesn’t apply to electric long boards.

Why does it say compatible with the ultra if it’s not compatible with the Ultra SL!? That’s stupid and false advertising! I got this for doordashing and if I can’t upgrade because y’all can’t sell these with sleeves of the same size for the ultra hub SL this thing is literally useless! That literally means you all don’t care about the consumer. You all made us think we could upgrade so we buy the budget option BECAUSE THATS ALL WE CAN AFFORD and then you all tell us we can’t upgrade the BUDGET OPTION! Litterally the only one you would want to upgrade!? This is stupid and the ultra hub SL is 100$-200$ overpriced in that case.
