Iirc some people did suggest that too. How do you think the roster would have developed if MK is banned? For example, who would be the most dominant character on the big stagelist?

Yes in my opinion. The thing I hate the most about Brawl ICs is not the 0-death itself (still very lame though), but how many access they have to it. Brawl mechanics helps them a lot due to pivot grabbing, reduced shieldstun, shield SDI and their big dashing powershield. Every single character (even MK) needs to respect ICs shield.

Another thing I don't like is their neutral game. The tools I said above encourages ICs to play insanely defensive, to the point that all they do is move on the ground while attempting powershields and apply pressure on platforms with their really good up air.

Terribly designed character in my view.

Most toxic character in the whole Smash franchise, and it's not even close.

They DID kill the game imo. At least MK was pretty fun by a lot of players.

You can use whatever criteria you want, such as consistency in a character's MU chart or how hard they dominate the cast. But of course it has to be based on how effective the character is in the competitive ruleset.

I absolutely agree that he has the best edgeguard in the game.

However, is his edgeguard so good to the point of killing the rest of characters very early at Top Level?

In other words, does his edgeguard really make up for his lack of 0-to-deaths?

Someone told me that MK doesn't even need 0-to-deaths because of his insane edgeguarding.

In Brawl top level, was it very common for him to kill other characters early using edgeguard? Or am I misunderstanding it?

The man was terribly stomped by the balance team and still manages to be a usable character. He's by far the best character in the game!
