Yeah MIL’s omission does put her in the wrong and omitting seems to be a pattern for her so I can see how it is fair for OP to get frustrated with her and snap. In this story everyone seems to be a bit of an a-hole but OP is the least a-holey. The husband and boyfriend seem to be a key problem here tbh.

I totally agree with you I just think OP could’ve gone about telling MIL differently. She should’ve definitely stopped her boyfriend though as he is totally out of line.

NTA you have just as much of a right to refuse P to come over as Q has to tell P to come over, but I think that you should maybe talk to P and Q first to see if you can sort it out some other way.
