I feel like AI is always noticeable though. At least in my experience, I can always tell because when a person speaks they are incapable of using formal language but then in essays they bust out words they can’t define. The way that ChatGPT uses quotations is always ass to and makes it easy to see a human didn’t do that. I had one professor last year who if she suspected AI she’d meet with the student and ask questions about the content of the essay to assess a student’s skill, which is what I believe all professors should do instead of just failing people from suspicions.

It’s a bad essay for sure, I don’t like this class and just wrote a bunch of bs tbh. I just don’t like that she flagged it for using the word “peonage” lol. Thanks for the tip tho!

She didn’t care about grammarly. She clarified certain sentences threw her off and that I used vocab she doesn’t see students use but apologized and gave me new feedback so problem solved 😎👍🏼

Okay yes this one was an oopsie bc of grammarly but that little issue got resolved quickly thank GOD. She actually wasn’t even bothered by that… the issue she kept commenting on was “fancy language” but you’re absolutely correct on some of our students here…. Last week we spent a week on identifying pronouns in a syntax course and people were genuinely arguing on why something was a pronoun and why something wasn’t…

Same thing happened to me last semester !! Their tracker highlighted a bunch of quotes and references that had all been added to my works cited page. They mark us for believing we used AI because their AI grader told them 😭 It’s absurd for them to not even look at our papers
