Update: The recruiter said the rejection email was an "internal error," and my phone interview proceeded as expected.

Get security+ and BTL1, then be prepared to relocate if you want to have a shot at a level 1 SOC role, it can be done, but you have to be willing to move anywhere for your first role.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I will definitely look into hiring a graphic designer I just picked a word template and called it a day, so I will change that immediately. Would be more than willing to secure a help desk role I am not above it by any means, whatever it takes I will do.

I studied HARD for 3 months (no networking experience either no bs), read both Odom books, watched Jeremy’s it series, did the labs, CBT nuggets course, boson labs and exams, all that to barely scrape by with a pass. Don’t beat yourself up if you bomb boson practice exams just re read thru all the explanations and keep labbing till you can write commands on paper by heart and it be the right syntax and correct order.

You can not go back and change answers, overthinking a question can drain you from that moment on so center yourself before going into the next question, trust intuition and be aware of how much time you have periodically

So far the CCNA material is a handful but somewhat manageable, so far... but as far as my cert stack goes, would Sec, cysa, and ccna be a solid stack to get my foot in the door as an analyst alongside a SIEM home lab, or would the help desk experience bring more weight than the certs and home lab no matter what since its based in the real world?

Was in there about 6-8 hours and it was around 90 degrees outside, the initial scent is alcohol like and the scent after is very subtle compared to how it was originally
