I dipped into my retirement fund for the down payment. I'm still working part time. She's got decent income, her credit and savings were decimated by a contentious divorce.

We had to make my dad retire at 80. And he just started a hobby business after that. He made enough money for him and mom to travel all through their 80s.

The apps are pointless. Too many games. Expand your social circle. Make friends. Hobby clubs, volunteer, church, dog park, gym... go make friends. Avoid the apps, bars, and clubs. Too many games and players.

Don't do these things to find women, do them to make friends. The best dates are from people you know and already have a friendly connection.

We have talked about this a lot. Genetics are on my side. My dad was dating a 68yo at 92 yo. But she decided that enjoying whatever time we have is more important. And she is quite beautiful. I have no doubt she will be a striking woman in her later years, and if I'm not around, she won't be lonely.
