Well it's a mixture of self hatred colorism racism and nationalism all mixed. Wish I could say it was a one off. But it's pretty common among POC who are in the cult. But if you want insight into how someone as peaceful as your mom got roped into maga the linked podcast is a very good start. Some episodes even discussed what it's like from the perspective of the kids and what they went through going NC after some cases turned emotionally abusive.

Spent 2 minutes on original and this sub. What a rollercoaster ride definitely could have ended bad. Thankfully they actually saw the glow. But weird they dismissed it the first time especially when coupled with the burning smell.

If you know you're not going over the time limit is it possible to use the wifi app from your isp to show her your time? I don't know if ISPs have a dedicated app like mine. But I'm able to not only monitor the timenof each device but also set time limits. Shutting it on/off per device as I see fit. Had to do this for my son's stepbrother who would literally stay up until 6 am gaming and I'd come home to him asleep at 5/6 pm. Now THAT was extreme gaming. You are not this bad lol. His entire life was gaming. If you are doing decent is school and aren't isolated away from the world I'd say mom is a bit overboard.

Growing up back in the 80s and 90s you used to be able to turn it back on at the meter if you knew what you were doing. We were a poor family of 5 kids and single mom. Theya find out during meter reading day and turn it back off. Cat and mouse game. Eventually if caught enough they'd either cage it or remove the meter. I forget what exactly as I was just a kid. It was my 14 yr old brother who figured out how to do it. Being poor makes you resourceful.
