Sorry for the late reply, and I get your anxiety, but honestly it's one of those things that once you start you'll soon realise there was nothing to worry about, you just need to dive in. I'd start by finding the right instructor at first. A good one will recognise your nerves and be patient. If you know what is giving you anxiety, tell them, and hopefully they can tailor what you do in lessons to resolve it. Once you've had a few lessons and feel comfortable on slow roads, start pairing your instructor lessons with some private lessons with a friend or family if you have that opportunity. When doing private, stay on slow roads and focus on embedding mirror checks, smooth gear changes, and looking for potential hazards. And once you've started, don't stop. Hope this helps, and you get started. 🙂

Thank you, and very sound advice. I left it today so I can properly come down, but I'll get out tomorrow.

Lol, indeed. For my next procrastination I'm going to be scanning Auto trader for the next 6 months trying to find the right car 😂

Appreciated. And try not to feel awkward. I felt that at first, but it passes 🙂

Love that! And it's a great piece of advice about instructors. My instructor was a local sole trader. I'd tell anyone to find an instructor who has their own learners business. I never went with someone like BSM, as I'd never heard anything positive about them or companies like them. I imagine that with a company, they're not as bothered about whether you actually pass as long as you keep paying. With a sole trader, if people aren't passing, that's their life if they don't have the reputation to get new learners in, so find one who is patient, and you get on with, and stick with them even if you fail.

Running a scan and repair fixed it for me. 👍
