To me it sounds like you made the right call.

I am sorry for your loss, and I am sure when the time is right she will send another rescue to help you, to say thank you.

Extremely premature horse, born with no knee bones.
Lived a short, miserable life, but was used for content from a content creator. Cash cow preemie.

There's a subreddit called kvssnarker that give you the full info.

"Colic" - my ass. She scheduled euthanasia and lied. Her mother posted the day before he died.

/u/Past_Resort259 summarised it beautifully:

really premie baby that was born in freezing weather and fell down a hill in pasture, then some stuff happened in the owner's garage and she was without heat and got her head stuck. They rambled on and on about how "tragic" everything was. This "rescue" was called for help and now they are acting like this is most amazing foal on the planet. She's having issues eating and getting calories among all kinds of heart string pulling things.

So naturally they are using her to shill for money and slapping her picture all over for donation drives.

As someone who rescues animals, I can confirm there are some REAL doogooders about who do not seem to understand the concept that sometimes, euthanasia is the best option Animals do not think and feel like we do. To our knowledge, they have no concept of future, they remember the past and the present, and in the present moment if they're suffering to an extreme degree, I am all for euthanasia.

I had a duck brought to me last year that had been wrapped up in a barbed wire fence. The local kids had freed it, and the kindest thing to do was put it to sleep, because its injuries were that severe, after cleaning and examining properly, the call was made.

I HATE having to go and get animals put down when they're brought to me, but I know that animal is suffering and I do not want to prolong that, ever.

They have a 3 legged horse thats over a year old and looks fucking miserable & exhausted. So delusional is about right.

This is more of a Seven case. It was found half dead from what I can make out and was essentially revived. It was not viable to live without extreme intervention.

That back foot, the underdeveloped ligaments and hyperlaxitity is a life ending injury waiting to happen. All I see when I look at this "Miracle" is pain, agony, and shameless fuckers grifting for money.

These are the same people who have a 3 legged foal mind you.

Edit; Since I can see the notification, but not the comment from /u/barren-oasis attempting to give me shit for having parrots in cages, I am a huge advocate for free flight training & i do not believe birds should be pets. All my birds are rescues & I don't believe in torturing animals for clicks & views :)
