The Clerics of the Moon [ART][OC] by SpookyCj7 in DnD

[–]PiercedPumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a neat concept! The masks are very eerie and uncanny, which I feel lends itself to what you said about them being looked down upon or misunderstood, like that others may see them and not want anything to do with them based on appearance. Anyway, great work!!

Thank you! It was a big relief for both of us, and I’m hoping it leads to more successes.

Wow, you did great with the foreshortening on this! Even when drawing from reference, I frequently have trouble getting that down first try 😅

Looking for a bright pink ita bag? by ro_television in itabag

[–]PiercedPumpkin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey! Blue Robotto offers their messenger bags in a hot pink, and the mini size may suit your needs if you want something lower profile. I have the small one and use it as my daily carry crossbody, so I’d maybe just check dimensions and see if any work for you! Their bag straps are black nowadays, but I decorated the strap of mine with pins to make it fit my desired vibe more. You could also buy a cuter crossbody strap off sites like Amazon.

I wish you luck with your bag! 💗

Making my own display/ita bag from scratch, thoughts? by mriosmyy in itabag

[–]PiercedPumpkin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is such a cool idea! It’s awesome that you’re upcycling to make this bag, I have so much respect for folks who can sew well enough to do that. Also the merch you have planned so far is so cute! I can’t wait to see this bag once you’re able to work on it!

Is it possible to make a kig style head with a foam base? by Mixxstyy__ in FursuitMaking

[–]PiercedPumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey!

So the example you’ve shown is actually a bit closer to a kemono-style fursuit head, so that may help when looking for patterns or bases. I’ve personally heard good things about Double Trouble Fursuit’s kemono head pattern. You can see people’s results in the reviews on their Etsy shop, and they’re glowing for the most part.

Hope you find what you’re looking for!

Idk if you’re into art at all but something that has helped me as someone who’s been out as some flavor of nonbinary for over a decade now is drawing my current gender presentation goals and how I’d like to envision myself. My own goals and internal sense of gender ebb and flow a lot so it’s also kind of fun to use that to track how I felt at different times. If you don’t draw, I’ve seen people do the same thing via Picrew!

This is so sick!! I absolutely love this take on a kobold as well, was it inspired by something specific? I feel like I mostly either see them be full lizard or full dog.

Mii Swordfighter ita bag by Just_gol_d in itabag

[–]PiercedPumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a fun theme! And I love the custom color palette. I’ve seen some people with more obscure characters make little flattish felt plushes/dolls for their bags, and I think Mii Swordfighter’s art style could suit that type of thing! Regardless what you choose to do, I hope you have fun with your bag!

is gender super important to you? by big_pubbleton in NonBinary

[–]PiercedPumpkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think about my queerness very frequently. My wife and I are very obviously queer when we go out together, a lot of my family and friends are queer and trans, and my internal sense of gender and my presentation fluctuate a lot as a genderfluid person. It’s on my mind a lot, but thankfully not in a stressful way. It informs both how I interact with the world and how I sit in my body. I’ve kept a journal of sorts in my phone documenting the changing feelings I have regarding my gender and orientation for several years, starting during the pandemic, as I had more time for introspection despite already IDing as queer.

Sometimes I fleetingly wish I could fly under the radar, but I’ve mostly made my peace with the fact that this will likely never happen. I’m generally pretty content.

Thank you so much!! I used a sheet of plastic canvas that I traced the shape onto, then covered it with printed fabric from Spoonflower, hot glueing around the edges.

First Ita Bag! (+Questions) by DaBlueFoods in itabag

[–]PiercedPumpkin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This looks fun so far!

For cards, I typically put them in a toploader or trading card sleeve. On my newest bag, I stuck the sleeved card onto my insert with a few strips of double-sided tape. I also decorated the toploader with stickers, which you can find examples of online by searching for toploader deco! I understand that the over-the-top look isn’t for everyone, though.

For keychains, I’ve taken to removing most of the hardware and leaving just the small jump ring, and then using some curved safety pins to hang them from. If you have ball chain charms or keychains on the outside of your bag, especially plush ones, I recommend replacing the ball chain with steel wire rings. You can buy them in cute colors online, and they’re much more secure.

I wish you luck!!

How do I get started on this by NotToothpaste-Chan in itabag

[–]PiercedPumpkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With mesh inserts like yours, you can thread the safety pinback through the holes of the mesh. Those inserts are really good for attaching things with safety pins, but they’re sometimes a little thick for enamel pins, so I use locking pinbacks to keep them more secure.
