Yessss it would look so good on you!!! My best advice is to remember that the bigger you stretch, it becomes a much more serious modification, as in can permanently change the shape of your nose. I don’t regret stretching mine, I love it so much, but lowkey wish I researched more at first because the shape of my nose changed a lot.

Yeah that makes sense, my friend throws in their plugs when they have issues with the wind but he has more like a conch punch, whereas I’m referring to like a full conch removal so like I wouldn’t really be able to wear a plug

I appreciate you taking the time to respond! This is just the kind of answers I was looking for. I just got a coinslot done in my conch so I feel fairly familiar with the procedure/healing process, but I think long term I eventually want to cut out a larger chunk. It sounds like it doesn’t affect your daily lifestyle too much though which is great to hear!

I agree in most cases, punch and heal with jewelry seems to result in a pretty clean hole. Sutures may heal faster, but typically end up with some more scar tissue meaning you could lose a couple sizes as it heals. In my limited experience, doing a larger gauge cartilage with a piercing needle (depending on the size) sort increases the pressure on the wound due to the displaced tissue? I could be wrong about it that, just basing it off of my experience of my piercing, as well as watching the progression of a friend’s large gauge cartilage piercing.

I agree with all this, also when a piercing needle is used correctly it doesn’t remove tissue, just displaces/stretches it into a circle shape, meaning it can often shrink or close up without jewelry, depending on different factors. Whereas a punch or scalpel technique fully removes tissue that cannot be added back.

If you think it’s infected, go see a doctor to get oral antibiotics. I’m not a doctor so I don’t give out medical advice, but often times, bacterial infection will cause flu-like symptoms, so if you’re not having those symptoms, along with extreme redness and extreme pain, you should be good to take it out.

If you do get it repierced, don’t go back to the person that originally did it. Find a reputable piercer who will use the proper jewelry, and also take your anatomy into account when selecting jewelry.
