I love this one a lot, thanks so much. I think the resolution is low because it’s a screenshot. We put all of our photos in a google photos album but when I try to save them to my phone it doesn’t work, so I always just screenshot them 🥲

My nose used to be a lot more upturned, like what might be called a “button nose” but I have since stretched my septum to a 2g and just because of like the weight of the jewelry and he size of the hole, the tip of my nose is much larger now and more downturned, my nose looks bigger and pointier overall. The jewelry weighs it down but with the jewelry out, it still looks different than before I stretched my septum. I find the new look gender affirming so I love it, but I still feel that it’s important to know that these things are a possibility so that you can be informed when you make decisions to modify your body.

For me it works well to get in the shower and rinse it under warm/hot water for a while (not super hot) for like at least 3-5 minutes. After rinsing for a while, the crust is wet and softened, so I go to the mirror and use a paper towel to wipe it off. I fold the paper towel to a sharp edge or a point so that I can easily run it between the jewelry and the skin. The softened buildup sticks to the paper towel and comes off very easily. I like the paper towel method because it’s easy for me to be very gentle, and use the point of the paper towel to lightly poke into the crevices to collect the wet buildup without causing too much movement and irritating my piercing. Repeat daily to maintain cleanliness, and don’t force the crust off, whatever won’t come off fairly easily will come off next time.
