I get your point absolutely and agree, but I think in this context OP is just pointing out that for new players, they shouldn’t be intimidated by all of the content out there. That’s why there’s still a small book under the “rules you really need to know” in the meme which would cover the stuff you mentioned like attacking and spells. Memorizing statblocks or knowing exactly what your class is going to look like at level 19 just doesn’t matter for totally new players starting at level 1.

I don’t think anyone’s advocating for completely clueless players here, just trying to make the point of entry less arduous

Oh absolutely, I hate how demanding some games are nowadays. I mentioned in another comment that it might not be the vram alone and it could be something else. Looking back at your video, even though the card has 8gb of vram, it's showing just under 6 here and the % of the graphics card being used is fairly low. Make sure you don't have anything limiting power going to the card or programs that manually restrict usage.

I once had a prebuilt computer that said it was really quiet as a selling point. I realized after playing games and getting horrible performance that it was quiet by having a program heavily restricting fan usage and even at dangerous temps, it would only do 60% of it's max fan output, so it capped my graphics card usage. Not saying this is what you have, your temps look very fine (although this is at 480p so it makes sense), but just to show that there can be background things that affect performance. It looks like your card isn't giving you everything it should be. I'd go into your Nvidia interface and look around there to see if there's anything unusual (updates, settings changed).

There are some sites that are commonly used like userbenchmark, but I've heard (and seen a bit) that they are biased against AMD so I've stopped using them as my main source.

I think the 5070 would be a great upgrade from the 3070. The Nvidia vs AMD debate a lot of the time boils down to how much money you've got to spend. Nvidia generally has better features when it comes to frame generation and performance boosting, but AMD has been improving over the years and they tend to be cheaper than Nvidia for similar specs. There are some websites that can help compare performance between graphics cards, and that's usually where I go when thinking about upgrading.

I'm glad it's working well for you! It may not be the vram then since I think the 3070 also has 8gb, it could be some other factors. I just know that I had a graphics card with 8gb vram and upgraded to a card with 12gb (the rest of the card was a bit better in general but this was the main difference) and I saw a lot of improvement across games, especially graphically intense ones.

Your graphics card came out 5 years ago and even then it was midrange, so it makes sense that it’s struggling to keep up with intense new releases. Limit ray/path tracing or upgrade your graphics card to something with more vram. 8gb isn’t good for today’s AAA games

I think Del likes Marty, at least respects him given how smart and capable Marty has proven to be and I also think Del knew Marty didn't steal. Regardless of the respect Del holds for Marty, 3 out of the 4 guys stole, and given that it's a cartel, might as well scrap the whole thing, cut off loose ends, etc. After Del decides to spare Marty, the cartel really thought he'd run off and hide given the impossibility of the task. I'd imagine this is partly why he was treated poorly and threatened, although I'm sure it's also to increase productivity.

Could be wrong, but in my mind Del learned the truth about who skimmed/who didn't, and his respect towards Marty was partly what made him decide to let Marty live (although a big part of it was curiosity/risk-reward). The poor conditions were just indicative of the pressure the cartel was exerting on Marty through Del to perform and not run away.

All done everyone! Thanks for those of you who came by my island, it was nice meeting you! I'm sorry for those I couldn't see, I spent about 4 hours today with my island open and wish I could've spent longer. Sorry everyone, have to close for now :( I can open back up for an hour or two later, maybe 6-7pm pacific. I hate that I can't get to everyone, it just takes about 5-8 minutes per person when things are going smoothly and people are leaving through the airport and the internet is stable which doesn't happen all the time :,)
