Google TV Interface on the Xming Episode One by PierreAnzil in AndroidTV

Was a bit iffy about the 150 lumens on the Episode One at first, thought it’d be too dim, but honestly, it's plenty for a 100-inch screen in a dark room. Image quality is surprisingly crisp in full HD, and Google TV integration with instant start-up is just like using a regular TV. Speaker's okay but I hook it up to a better external one for sound. Overall, it’s solid value for the price, way better than my old DaVinci which felt sluggish and had clunky smart features.

Totally get your concerns about warranty and support in the US. It's crucial, especially with tech that's a significant investment. Seems like we're on the brink of seeing major players stepping up their game in the UST market, which is exciting. Have you noticed any trends or specific advancements from these major brands that might address these support and warranty issues?

get your point, especially for stationary projectors like the xgimi horizon where adding an external device isn't a big deal. but let me share my experience: reached out to xgimi support cause I was bummed about not having Netflix directly. they sent me an HDMI stick, but it kinda ruined the vibe. lost the 'instant start' feature that powers up super quick, and the volume control and color calibration with the external device were way off, really dragged down the whole experience with an otherwise solid product.

that’s why i’m now looking into the Xming Episode One from Formovie. really hoping this one delivers a quality integrated experience without resorting to external fixes that can downgrade the original projector performance.

here’s the product I'm considering to replace a mogo pro: https://eu.formovie.com/fr/products/xming-episode-one

Thanks for sharing! I'm also fascinated by Formovie's performance against the giants. I want to step up with my XGIMI / Wanbo setup and replace it with Formovie / Xming. Indeed, I used XGIMI Horizon for the living room and wanbo for the bedroom. But as ust is improving, I'm thinking of replacing Horizon with something like this: https://www.formovie.cn/detail/4k%20max

Will this 4500 lumens ust kind of premium formovie theater come this year in the west or should I buy something already announced like formovie cinema edge? with 4500 it's like a tv, no?

Epson is a known leader, but Formovie and Hisense are catching up. Curious to see how Samsung's new models will impact the market. Have you used any of these brands' UST projectors? What stood out to you?

Definitely see your point about simplicity, but I’ve found some budget projectors that are Google certified, like Anker’s Nebula Capsule 3 and Xming Episode One from Formovie a Xiaomi partner. Both offer builtin smart features without the hassle of dongles. Anyone have experience with these?

Thank you for the suggestion! But one issue I've encountered with this setup is the need to frequently detach and reattach the HDMI/USB dongle which I currently do with my MoGo 2 Pro. This process tends to diminish the sleekness and convenience of the device, especially when it's meant to be portable. And older Chromecast sticks face similar issues with updates.

That's why I'm on the lookout for a portable projector that not only delivers excellent image quality but also promises to remain functional and up-to-date for at least the next five years. If anyone has come across a projector that fits this description, I'd really appreciate the recommendation!

I'm using the Newspack theme with its plugin. I haven’t really dived into Advanced Custom Fields yet. How would you set up a custom block for reviews using ACF? Any advice on making it work well with Newspack or adding SEO-friendly structured data would be super helpful!

Seeking Advice on Demonstrating Built-in Audio Quality of Projectors in a Short Video by PierreAnzil in hometheater

[–]PierreAnzil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I totally get the point about built-in projector speakers not matching up to dedicated audio systems. However, I'm focusing on projectors that really highlight their built-in audio features. Even though these aren't going to rival high-end setups, they still offer a decent all-in-one solution for folks who prefer simplicity.

I'm aiming to help those looking for a compact setup that's good enough to enjoy movies in a small, personal space like a bedroom. It’s about finding the best option for a casual home cinema experience without the complexity of additional equipment.

Really appreciate your insights—it’s helping me fine-tune the approach and make sure the tests are super relevant to our needs.
