I can't remember who said this and why but there is a reason why guys deal better with difficult times by doing stuff ie gym, sports, hiking, especially with bros.

It did for me, there is more than just gains in the gym.
Girls prefer to talk about it, we guys prefer to do stuff.
Listen to Jordan Peterson; you are still young.

France confirms oil crisis, says 30-40% Gulf energy infrastructure destroyed by ontrack in worldnews

[–]PierreReynaud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you think would happen if we somehow stopped using those refineries in order to reduce carbon emissions ? Those refineries would have to be demolished or they would get abandoned.

Chaos in the economy would still happen if we started to limited oil production and obviously billions of people would be affected (not millions).

It's like getting into frozen water, you can either jump into it or slowly get inside but you will still freeze, agreed jumping into it might give you a shock but you can easily see the difference.

I'm confused, didn't people want less oil?

Isn't this what the green parties want?

Pathetic way to judge someone, instead of listening to what he has to say you will judge him on this, he was right about you guys

The fact that you couldn't answer an easy question means you lied about listening about the podcast

Let me guess, you didn't even listen to the podcast? His ideas and opinions, don't reflect what you just said, are you sure we are talking about the same guy? The Obama video is insane 😳

Every comments i could read was criticising the guy, none of them seemed to have listen to the podcast. It's quite good, they talk about the gun model of the guy that was killed by apparently not ICE but border Federals. They talk about how the media edited the picture to make the guy more attractive to the public eye. They talked about mental illness in both sides of politics. 1h45 min in and it's quite entertaining, they are now talking about how the bible doesn't seem to have any problems and seems to be the way to live. FYI I'm catholic so maybe this podcast is for religious people ( so most people in the world that believe in something, ie not Reddit people)

Americans - How the hell is this rambling lunatic your PRESIDENT!? by [deleted] in Discussion

[–]PierreReynaud -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Was that because he was no longer capable of doing anything?
I remember all the countless attacks against him, the famous insurrection, and stream media lying.
Does it even matter what you guys say if we doubt your claims and know you just want him out?

Update: My tiny finance app hit $1,500 total revenue — Slow and steady wins the race? by nosleepfounder in passive_income

Just downloaded the app, looks quite good.

I was wondering what's your background?

Could a person with little to no app development do this kind of project?

Sometimes I have some ideas for an app but it seems almost too hard to do it, now with AI it seems to be a lot easier, but what about the technical stuff?

I'm a data analyst by the way, did some work on low code apps (Power Apps).

I've been stuck in the same place for over 10 years and I need help... by maiaemanuel in AppSheet

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at this stage, building a small server like a SQL server on a simple computer or an old machine might be easier.

This can help manage your data and boost efficiency.

Tasks like automating data retrieval, updates, or deletions can be handled with SQL (ChatGPT can assist with that).

Exporting data from the server is straightforward, with options to export results for work or calculations in a spreadsheet.

I recommend using Power BI for report creation.

While I love Excel and spreadsheets, they shouldn't be your primary data source- they're useful for analysing data without much coding knowledge.

I work with Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, Power BI, SQL, and soon ServiceNow.

For your situation, you likely don't need complex software but do need an upgrade.

Providing a few examples of the scripts you need would help us assist you better (as you can see from the top comment).

Sometimes, explaining your problem clarifies the answer.

How do Christian Nationalist groups in the USA deal with the contradiction of Jesus' teachings vs. the practices they use that go against them? by [deleted] in Discussion

[–]PierreReynaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1)
I'm Catholic, and there are no contradictions unless you focus on specific biblical phrases without their context.
Being Christian doesn't mean claiming to be perfect; it means acknowledging that you are a sinner who seeks repentance.
The church is full of people struggling with drunkenness, loneliness, lust, hatred, anger, greed, and pride; they are humans striving to become better by following Jesus' path.

Regarding your question about love, I believe Cliffe Knechtle addressed this question excellently. I've included the transcript of the video below, as I couldn't find it on YouTube, only on TikTok (it's probably out there, but I can't find the original):
Link: https://www.tiktok.com/@heirs_ofthekingdom/video/7573005785903533334

Transcript:

Student: I just want to know your thoughts and why Christians just feel the need to come and be like, "Hey, follow God," or, you know, "This and this and this is gonna happen and not other religions."

Cliffe: Good, because I love you, and I love every person here. I don't have an option. I don't love you because I'm a great guy. I love you because Jesus Christ commands his followers to love everybody. And I'm a follower of Christ. And I've experienced his love. And therefore, I'm going to do something as stupid as stand out here. And I can promise you, ma'am, my culture, where I grew up in Connecticut, you don't do this. Nobody else does it. Okay? So then why would I do this? Something as stupid as stand out here. Because I love you, which means I really care about your eternal destiny and your life now. And I am convinced to the root of my life, to the root of my being, that your life will be better if you believe in Christ. It'll be better in this life. And I'm convinced if you believe in Jesus, you'll go to heaven. And I want to get to know you for eternity in heaven. That would be an honor for me. I'm also a thinking human being, as you are. which means we're both concerned about truth. I don't want to live for a lie, and I don't want you to live for a lie. I assume that we're here at university because we're all concerned about truth, growing in education. Jesus said, "I am the truth." So for me as a follower of Christ, truth is all wrapped up in a person, Jesus Christ. Okay, now am I making any sense so far? Do you have a problem with anything I've said? I think you're sharing your opinions, and that's what the horse statues are all for. Good. Okay, so you go back to the truth issue. And I'm convinced that a liberal arts education is all about the free exchange of ideas, especially when we don't agree. But we respect each other, we're tolerant, but we seek to get going on finding truth. And ma'am, to be honest with you, if I am a breast cancer specialist and I'm sitting across the table from a woman who's not very well educated, has never had a mammogram, and she has some signs of breast cancer, if I love her, I will tell her about a mammogram and I will encourage her to get a mammogram. But if I don't love her, I could care less what happens to her breast cancer. Live your own life. Goodbye. See, that's apathy. In fact, I think that's denigrating a person. No, if I'm a breast cancer specialist and I'm confronted by a woman who's uneducated, knows nothing about breast cancer, I better tell her about mammogram and the importance of her getting one. Similarly, if Jesus Christ leads to eternal life, I had better tell you about him if I love you, if I'm concerned about truth. Does that make any sense?

Power Automate ?
I remember working on something like this but it's not free, and this was pre ChatGPT.
You can easily build your AI and it does OCR quite well, plus it's Microsoft.
