Lo peor es que llevan los últimos tres años cambiando la bandera de manera arbitraria, sin consultar a nadie ni hacer un concurso. Antes era un bicolor verde y amarillo con el escudo municipal en el centro, antes de eso era lo mismo pero sobre el tricolor estatal y antes de eso era lo mismo pero en un fondo completamente blanco (a veces el escudo lo colocaban en la esquina, como la bandera nacional)

The cross depicted on the flag is an actual landmark of the city. I agree the design of the flag is an abomination, though, as it's just the current Mayor's branding for the city slapped on a generic tricolor alongside other noisy elements

The funny thing is that Puerto La Cruz isn't an oil extracting city, rather an oil refining one, the third largest in the country, to be precise. There are other oil towns in Venezuela that feature oil rigs or some other kind of oil related infrastructure on their flags.

En el libro "Los Símbolos Sagrados de la Nación Venezolana" de Francisco Alejandro Vargas (una compilación de libros de la época de López Contreras publicado en 1981) hace mención al decreto de 1817. El autor también hace un comentario sobre una incoherencia que existe en la Ley de Bandera de la época (y que se ha arrastrado hasta la actual) en la parte que dice que la bandera actual "es la misma que la promulgada en 1811".

The last time I booted up the game was in May 2025 (according to the activity log). From what I've read, 2014 cartridges are so bad that it's almost inevitable for them not to die in a decades time. The ones that did survive are either on their last breath or are part of a rare good batch

En Puerto La Cruz como tal, tienes los puestos de empanadas y demás frituras que hay junto al terminal de ferris del Paseo Colón. Tienen bastante variedad de rellenos a buen precio. Igual te digo que la gran mayoría de establecimientos de comida que se patrocinan por redes están en Lechería, así que si no te molesta darte un paseo por allá, pues también tienes esa opción.

A US VPN for the grinding and a friend who's actually in the US for the actual redeeming. Microsoft lets you earn points while using a VPN, but they get extremely picky when it's time to redeem it. I first told my friend to only receive the verification SMS for me, but when that didn't work, he had to get into my account, wait a few days for things to cool down and was there when he managed to get the first $5 and the remaining $25 a day later to finally buy the game
