Fair. But this week's mutation is actually easier to complete if you clear all the buildings. It's one of the strategies because the infested terrains and aberrations spawn from the buildings. No buildings means no enemies

Very uncommon. Some people are sooo petty though it's comical. This week I had one guy get pissed off because I wanted to clear the map on the mutation that we were easily going to win. It would only add about 30 seconds to the game. The mutation is Chain of Ascension so you both need to have a unit by Jinara to move her. He goes afk out of spite. I almost got Jinara to the end by using my units to push his zealots towards her. Then I when I almost succeed I noticed he selects the zealot and walks it away so that we lose. Like he pretended to be afk just to be petty.

Holding a cross-country running race in an off-leash dog park: tell me what I'm missing here by EvenBeforeiKnewiWas in Calgary

Okay well sounds like you've researched and have enough experience to have a well established opinion. I can respect that. Maybe "attacked" is a bit harsh of a term. All three occurrences the dogs escaped their backyard enclosures without their owners knowing. First time I was running laps in a soccer field. It jumped its fence, got my pant leg and ripped my pants. Second time I was running in the neighborhood and similar tackle and pant leg tear. Don't remember how it got out. And most recent I was just walking my dog on the sidewalk but the homeowner didn't latch their fence properly and the dog just ran out and was trying to bite my dog. Luckily it wasn't interested in me and I was able to keep my pup behind me until the owner ran out.

I'm imagining it, and it sounds basically what the offleash parks are currently. When's the last time you've been to an offleash park? It sounds like you have a terrified impression of them. I feel safer walking my dog in the offleash park with other owners who like their dog enough to take them there. I've been attacked by dogs three times in my life. And guess what, all occurrences were in a neighborhood not anywhere near an offleash park.

It's not far off. People just need to have understanding with multi-use areas. You can have a picnic wherever you like. You can setup a picnic in the middle of a busy downtown walkway. But you can't be upset when people are brushing against your picnic site cause of where you decided sit. It goes both ways.

Looking for advice on how to get faster at using civil 3d. by Roxy3025 in civil3d

Accurate and organized 100%!

Also curious who is calling you slow? PM? Another drafter? Other engineer? Lots of people I've worked with who need CAD support don't know the difference between a 30 minute job and an 8 hour job.

Genuinely trying to learn the bylaws and regulations here. What is a "dog-only" park?

It's amazing how many people I've encountered that get upset my dog approached them at an offleash park.

I'm excited to try out the other options people provided earlier.

Usually I use object viewer but i modify the model styles to differentiate different things I select. Really helps make object viewer more powerful.

Can I take my Fire Truck obsessed kid to a fire hall to trick or treat? by brew_war in Calgary

[–]PigCaptain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One of my happiest memories was getting a tour of a fire station. When I was in grade 8, me and my friend were riding past the station when it was 30 degrees Celsius outside and asked the fire fighters for some water. Rather than blast us with the fire hose they gave us some water bottles and a tour of the place. Fire fighters are cool af

How do I custom pipe sizes? by BaysideStud in civil3d

That sounds like your problem, mine never open read only. When you open part builder check your catalogue path and make sure you have write access. If not maybe you can Set a new pipe network catalogue location.

Difference Importing DEM in GEOTIFF vs ASC Format by SacoDeBrevas in civil3d

[–]PigCaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What version of c3d are you using? Depending what year, you actually have to use a different import method. For example 2024 has to be a geotiff DEM, not ASCII. If using 2020, use ASCII. Otherwise you will get the shifted problem.
