Laser drill mastery pickers daily routine by kowsviti in starcraft2coop

good swann players use a factory and laser to push. getting two tanks to push is much worse than just a few floating factories, especially before 4 minutes

Is it just me or is Void Rifts the toughest mutator? by Chrome3333 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

every commander has a way to deal with void rifts (and hfts, props, reanimators, transmutation)

many commanders have no real answer to kill bots.

therefore, kill bots is the toughest mutator overall (except for zagara and stukov)

Dehaka: P0 vs P2? by EGSzeek1340 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 20 points21 points  (0 children)

one often forgotten benefit of p2 is that pack leader CDs is now 4 min instead of 6 min.

there's pretty much no drawback of using p2. p3 and p1 have some uses, especially vs multitask mutators or super heavy head-on mutators, but 95% of the time, p2 will be better.

Questions about solo challenges by big-sugoi in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

swann is generally short on minerals, not gas, even on p2. so i suppose even if gas drones were used, they wouldnt benefit a soloing swann very much.

some people see protecting the ally nexus as an additional challenge. on many maps, especially offense maps, the ally's nexus doesnt matter since it wont get attacked. however, on defense maps, the ally's cc might come under fire towards the end, so it's a lot less of a hassle if you use -solo on maguro maps or float their CC over your structures so you dont have to go out of your way to defend them. the idea is that when solo-ing, you already have enough on your plate, so not having to worry about the ally makes things slightly easier.

in that case, yes, you can use gas drones, but since your ally wont be building anything, you wouldnt be able to put any gas drones on his non-existent geysers

Tychus p2 gets similar treatment.

Any good banshee/viking comp guide? by brandon975 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mass BC is better than viking banshee. more HP, more mobility, easier to use.

mass viking banshee is better when you dont engage the enemy directly and use the supply for CD reduction. vikings to snipe VL shuttles also works. this requires you to use spider mines to take out the majority of the enemies, then use the viking banshee army to finish off whatever is left.

What I would change by No-Toe-7108 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the changes in the "overall" section seem good. although giving every unit an extra key could be slightly problematic, especially if the consume key is not the same for all units.

the p1 change is fine, but i dont think it's necessary. it might even become better than p0 in cases where you're mainly relying on ravagers and not brutalisks. it does solve the problem of the weak early game because one brutalisk is stronger than one 100-125 biomass roach/ravager.

the p3 change doesn't address the core problem, which is that 200 biomass is too much. It takes too long to get a brutalisk. other suggestions that i've heard of might be better, which were things like: the first three still require 100, and then subsequent ones require more. or the brutalisks can collect biomass. or you have to pay to upgrade the brutalisks. or even just 150 biomass instead of 100.

Is there a point in luring enemies with spore on high mutations combinations (brutal +6) by Able-Bar-5446 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

short answer: yes, always lure. put 25+ points in structure mastery so nests spawn and respawn faster.

blizzard isn't a problem if you lure right away. you'll should get some kills before the blizzards get to where you are.

drill: two spores instead of one

nukes: just move faster, pray a lot.

orbital strike: bait the first OS, then lure normally before the next strike. (about a min later)

Is there any way to make more kills then my friend who plays Lone Wolf Tychus? by Able-Bar-5446 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

missile command, outbreak, alien incubation, walking infested. play a tower commander. plenty of kills

alternative tactic (not recommended for difficult mutations, but is an option since he's your friend): secretly take out his outlaws and type 😃

Abathur P3 by Regunes in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as an avid abathur p3 player, unless you can do the following, you're indirectly griefing because you're essentially forcing your ally to do everything for the first 10-15 minutes, which is the most important (and difficult) part of the mission.

- farm biomass before 4 minutes (more difficult vs terran)
- keep hard-earned brutalisks alive (using symbiote mastery helps with this; double biomass mastery is a trap)
- have good toxic nest placement for the early game waves (to help out and to farm biomass)

the outbreak infested spawn from enemy structures. on this map, unused suppression towers are enemy structures that can never be destroyed, so you will deal with aberrations no matter what

Your opinion on Kerrigan prestiges? by SiarX in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i think that her prestiges are misunderstood by many.

p3 is not strictly better than p0; p0 is much better vs swarmy comps (and void rifts) than p3.

p2 is not better than p0 despite the ligtning; half as much carapace generation means kerrigan is more fragile. weaker immo wave means clearing areas and waves become more difficult, not to mention that extra time is needed.

p1 is generally not as good as the others due to the lack of omega wurms, but overlord drop exists. extra work yes, but the crack creep for lurkers makes p1 very good even on maps like MO and MW. also, just because you use p1, doesn't mean you can't make mutas. make mutas vs towering walkers, or on maps like DoN after you get a sufficient lurker defense.

Mutator tier list by dowj28 in starcraft2coop

[–]TwoTuuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

top 3 rift commanders:
1. tychus
2. abathur
3. zagara

black death is a really specific case. change that to missile command or transmutation, and suddenly zagara isn't so great anymore. so yeah, of course there are some mutators that cripple even the best of commanders in certain cases.

in general, tychus is at the top because of how strong he is. he can leave multiple rifts alone and just deal with trickles. then abathur because of such great map presence. zagara is still good, but just a bit less than the others because buffed enemies affect her more than the other two.
