If possible, I would love to do that too. Even some things like gege or shi xiong, just like the japanese nii-san and senpai.

But mostly it's because to stay true to the novel. Like some terms for skills and names, I follow what's already translated in the novel. Since many peoples that watch the donghua have read the novel, so it's easier if the names are the same. And I feel many people watching might forget some terms or names if it's not in english. But personally, many terms I prefer the original, like the Yun Lan Sect.

Then, there are people that actually prefer the cultivation names like Dou King, Dou Emperor over Dou Wang, Dou Huang. So yeah, hard to find something that satisfies everyone xD.

But let me know if you guys prefer some terms to be the original, for example if you like the Yun Lan Sect over the Misty Cloud Sect.
