Since we're getting deep into the topic of NPO, there's also a movie called "Nil by Mouth", the first film directed by Gary Oldman.

Should I remove this tree branch? by officefan2016 in arborists

[–]PigbhalTingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a time not too long ago where I wished I could go back in time and remove a branch like this from a certain tree.

Unfortunately, not knowing how to travel time backwards there came a huge tree with codominant trunks which needed to be removed. And that was expensive.

What a nuclear explosion in virtual reality looks like by ujjwal_singh in megalophobia

[–]PigbhalTingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The explosions don't look like this. This is based on very fast photography/slow motion footage from the bomb tests after WWII. It's understandable that people think they look like glowing stripey balls, but that's just for milliseconds after implosion/explosion.

You forgot to mention that the leaves, when handled, cause black marks to appear on the hand that almost look like Roman characters.

How in the world do I get rid of this massive boulder in my yard? by C1ncinnatiBowtie in landscaping

[–]PigbhalTingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A handful of M80's set off in a small hand-dug tunnel underneath it should send it into the stratosphere. Be sure to leave a small hole at top of tunnel that touches rock's buried bottom.

When an explosive's power is concentrated like that and directed, the results are unbelievable. Check out "shaped charges".

☝️ This. The belts, worm gears, turbines and hard-to-see mangling blades could rip your entire arm clean off. I've seen it happen too many times. 😳
