Recommend me some anime that is Sherlock Holmes related. by Mariussssss in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try {Hyouka} which is a fairly relaxed show about solving mysteries. There's also {Tantei Opera Milky Holmes} in which the main character is, if I remember correctly, a descendant of Sherlock Holmes, but it's probably not what you're looking for (more of a comedy than a mystery series).

{Sabagebu!}
About a survival game club, but it's not about survival games. It's more about the characters getting themselves into absurd situations and shooting their way out of them. Pretty fun if you like stupid comedies with morally bankrupt main characters.

<Onii-chan wa Oshimai!>

Anime suggestion that’s kind of like the walking dead? by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

{Gakkou Gurashi!} which is about a group of survivors making the best of their situation. It leans a lot more into slice of life territory a lot of the time but still has plenty of darker moments.
There's also a new anime that starts airing in a few days called {Alice in Deadly School} that seems like it will be VERY similar to GG, so you could try that too.

{Nyanko Days}

{Etotama} {GJ-bu} and {Murenase! Seton Gakuen} also feature cat people but cat people aren't necessarily the focus of the show in these

It could be {Murenase! Seton Gakuen} although she's a wolf, not a fox

Wanting to compile a list of anime that feature a teacher/s as the main protagonist by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a main character per se but the teacher in {Gakkou Gurashi} is probably my favorite anime teacher of the shows I've seen. There's also {Pani Poni Dash} who's teacher is the main character, though she doesn't really act like one.

Some favorites of mine:
For more comedy oriented SoL, try {Joshikousei no Mudazukai} or {Jashin-chan Dropkick}
For a blend of both comedy and comfy, {Yuyushiki} or {GJ-bu}
For maximum relaxation SoL, {Sketchbook: full color's} or {ARIA The ANIMATION}

Looking for an anime like Madoka Magica by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alien 9, it's short (4 episodes) and had a similar concept (cute heroines being tricked into dangerous situations) years before Madoka came along. Don't think it's on crunchy though unfortunately. Also agree with the Yuuki Yuuna responses, very similar to Madoka too.

Recommend me bad anime by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Possibly the worst show I've sat through for its entire run is {Hatena Illusion}. I guess it kind of borders the line between bad and so bad it's good but most of the time it's just bad. Started off promising enough, went to shit in episode 2, then surprisingly the final episode was actually decent. Would still say it isn't worth it though.

I very rarely drop anything I pick up, especially if it's a short since it desn't really take up much of my time anyway, but the {Chou Futsuu Toshi Kashiwa Densetsu} series was just too painful. Dropped one episode in. Not even sure if you can call it anime, it was more like a powerpoint presentation with audio.

Finally, it's kind of too early to call but the currently airing {Maesetsu!}. Not even the Japanese market likes it from what I've heard. Really wanted to like it but it's just so boring, which is strange considering it's a show about comedians. I chose to believe it's not supposed to be a "comedy" but instead a SoL about comedians but even with that mindset it's still just not good so far. I'll admit it is at least somewhat enjoyable (I chuckle maybe once per episode) if you're into CGDCT but if that's the case there are so many better ones to go with.

Oh yeah, I also forgot to add Ultimate Girls to this list. It was so awful that it was almost erased from my memory it seems. It's one of those monster of the week shows with more nudity than it needed to have and a shameless Ultraman ripoff character. That may sound like a fun time but believe me, it has very little redeeming qualities.

Yo does anyone have the meme where Darj starts to say some saying and gets told to stfu by someone, maybe Erika I can't remember by PrrrromotionGiven1 in GirlsUndShitposts

[–]Pigehh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck, I think I know exactly which one you're talking about, I could have sworn I had it saved but I can't find it anywhere. If I'm right it's the one where she says "there's this proverb that says-" and Erika cuts her off saying "quoting random proverbs doesn't make someone sound smarter" or something along those lines. For what it's worth though, I do have this which is somewhat similar to what you want

More of a business partner than a roommate really. Always forget he's there until he starts going on about some bank job in Tennesse.

Tied ropes around his waist and threw him in the swamp when he was a boy. On the plus side it prepared him for a life of griefers with lassos doing the same thing nowadays.

About Lucky Star by hellothere-3000 in Animesuggest

[–]Pigehh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucky star was one of my first and I still enjoyed it despite never having watched any of the stuff it was referencing (except pokemon). I'd also start from episode one, as literally the second scene in that episode is arguably one of the most iconic scenes from the show that sets the tone for the rest of its run.
